“Excellent for overnight stop on m1”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

Stayed overnight to break up journey for 3 year old. Staff were all very welcoming and polite. Hotel was clean and modern. The aircon was very quiet and efficient. Got a deal for £59 for 3 of us. Free wifi in all rooms is a great bonus.Only complaint was some noisy travellers at 2am who woke us up. We had continental breakfast which was good value and they didn't charge for my granddaughters as she only had some cereal. Great location for M1 travel, lovely staff and good amenities.

This was booked by my company for a two night stay. There is a Holiday Inn express directly opposite and on arrival their car park was full and the campanile car park had 2 cars in. I now know why.
The room and bathroom were spotless and look new but the facilities were lacking. Basic things like simple TV channels with clear reception, drinkable water in the room, and an iron.
I asked at reception for the iron and was given the shared Tesco iron and board. The iron left a black streak down my shirt leaving me with no work shirt for the next morning.
The food was average and the cooked breakfast haphazard. Items shown as part of the cooked breakfast were not available on the first morning and the next morning it was cooked to order and took 30 mins to get a sausage, a rasher of bacon, a hash brown and some beans. Not great.

If you literally just want a bed and a shower for your stay then it fits the bill.

The staff were all very good and friendly though.

The location is great for connections, the entrance is large, spacious and modern, offering a really warm welcome from staff. First impressions as really great. You walk in your room, greeted by again modern ikea style, a unique and interesting lime green theme. All good so far until you stop and look and the cleanliness of the room - our room anyway. The TV remote was filthy, covered in spillages, the chez lounge was so dusty you could see the change in colour straight away. The floor in the bathroom again had stains and spills, really looked like it needed a deep hot clean rather than a quick whip round with an old damp mop. The bath "non slip ridges" were no longer white and really discoloured. I enjoyed the bath and just pretended it wasn't there.

The food was a bit of a disappointment too. For the money of the breakfast which we had to pay, just wasn't worth the sausages or flavourless white egg. Sausages were so cheap a few extra pence would have gone a long way! Criossants were fresh and tasty though...

Staff were fantastic though. So friendly in every area of the hotel. I have a great impression from the lovely front desk receptionist and also the lady running the breakfast.

I would say this hotel is a good one stay budget and does give a good impression, but certainly worth a clean in our room!

I stayed here for one night while I was in Northampton visiting family. The room rate of £55 was pretty good for a Friday night at this time of year. Finding the hotel was easy at it is just off of the M1. Check-in took quite a while as the receptionist had to find my booking on paper. No idea why the system isn't computer based.

The room itself was pleasant enough though it was at the far end of a fairly grubby corridor. There were lots of mysterious yellow stains all over the carpets both in the corridor and the room. The bathroom was large and modern. The mirror above the wash basin is set far back into a recess in the wall which made using it for shaving difficult.

I opted for the cooked buffet breakfast and this was poor. There was only one pieces of bacon left and no scrambled eggs. When I asked for more eggs the waitress disappeared into the kitchen but in the 20 minutes or so it took me to eat the rest of my breakfast no eggs arrived. She did come back to my table after I had finished and told me that it would be a while for the eggs. The continental breakfast buffet was also very limited. I appreciate that it is a small hotel but after paying over £8 I expected more.

The free wifi was fast and reliable.

Overall I would stay again but would avoid the breakfast.

Room Tip: Ask for one not too far from the lifts as it is quite a long walk to the rooms at the far end.

Selected this hotel for it's location - staff were really helpful and friendly and our room was modern, clean and very comfortable. We were short of towels - only two bath towels, no hand towels - but that seems pretty standard in hotels these days and we could have gone downstairs and asked for more if we had wanted to. Ate in the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable prices and nice food - nothing exotic on the menu but plenty of favourites and good quality. Didn't have breakfast. All in all a good quality budget hotel.

I have to be honest I haven't stayed in a Campanile before and decided to try it out. The booking in part was handled by Mark and was fast efficient and friendly. The hotel is modern very clean and the rooms are a credit to the housekeeping staff.

There is a bar onsite at very reasonable prices and a restaurant with again very good prices and tasty well prepared food, I arrived quite late close to the restaurant closing time something I dont like doing as catering staff have homes to go to as well, I was assured this was ok and was given a very nice meal at a good price. The rooms are modern and well appointed and I had no noise and a good nights sleep. The hotel is handy for trips down to London being right on the M1 or close to Northampton Railway Station.

For the price this hotel was a steal and Ashish the GM and Mark the DM where a credit to the chain.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights whilst attending the F1 young driver test at Silverstone. What a great choice! The hotel is ideally located within 1 minute of the M1 at junction 15 with plenty of parking available on site.

The hotel is fairly new and is very modern and welcoming inside, I cannot fault any of the staff from check in right through to check out.

The room was modern, clean and comfortable and the air conditioning was a god-send what with the current heavtwave the UK is experiencing currently! The bed was big, soft and very comfy. Great selection of TV channels, Wi-Fi free of charge in the rooms (seemed to disconnect automatically after 10mins but wasnt a real problem.) As other people have noted, the floors in the corridors are very squeaky but never really noticed it at night time.

The restaraunt located next to reception is second to none... the food is really really good and very reasonably priced, There is a harvester opposite the hotel but hardly any difference in price between eating here or at the hotel. I would say the hotel food is of a better quality in my opinion. A must try off the menu is the melted cheese and bacon burger which was delicious, Again the staff here were very attentative and made sure that you were well looked after, if you get a girl called Justyna serving you, you wont be dissapointed! :)

All in all a very enjoyable stay and wouldnt hesitate in staying here again... in fact, i've already booked for the F1 at Silverstone for 2014 and cannot wait to come back!
