Decided to dine here after reading reviews on here. Pub has a bit more of a "basic" feel to it than I expected, was thinking it would be more of a traditional inn. We were served quickly and staff were friendly. Not very warm in the pub though, so had to leave coats on. The starters were larger than average and tasted OK. The main course we had was pie and chips but I thought the chips had a strange taste to them. They were frozen chips but certainly not a good quality, seemed more like a budget range. For the price we paid, two meals for £10 - it wasn't bad but wouldn't rush back there. The pub is OK for a quick bite to eat, but rather lacking in character.
