What a find , recommended by a friend this little place came up trumps on all accounts !! The food was superb - a must is the salmon and beetroot trifle as a starter , I didn't want it to end it was so delicious !! I had the chicken which had been cooked in a water bath then pan finished as explained by the owner ( who by the way was charming , knowledgable and a thoroughly nice bloke - nothing was too much trouble !! ) , my 3 other friends had the venison which they say was equally as good ! Selection of vegetables to share were just yummy .Puddings fantastic ........what else can I say !! The whole dining experience was just lovely and I would definitely recommend and I will be back for sure !! Word of warning ........don't be put off by the cafe front window etc and the bare tables because it's ' pure magic ' on the plate and palate . ( knocks the new Star in the City into a cocked hat or should I say flat cap !!).
