The location of this B&B is excellent - really close to York centre and the Minster, about a ten minute walk. The rooms are spotlessly clean, although not newly decorated from what I could tell. We moved rooms due to the neighbours playing loud music - the owner wasn't too keen to let us do so at first, but she did relent, and after moving we couldn't have been happier - we could not longer hear the music and the room we moved to was a lot more roomy. We got the time wrong for breakfast, silly us, but the owner was kind enough to let us eat anyway. The owner was very helpful if not overly warm and friendly; she made us move our car when we checked out, despite the fact that both spaces were free when we left York at 3pm. However, I understand that spaces are at a premium in York, esp free ones. I must say that I was annoyed to find out from the owner that had we booked directly with her, rather than through a booking website, that we would have saved ourselves £25!!! Not her fault but still not a great end to the stay. Left a bit of a bitter taste. I will go direct next time!
