“Worth a Visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2011

Supposed to be a nice day when we arrived but it was cloudy, cold and drizzling with rain. Having said that my teenage sone and I enjoyed our visit. There were was a nice selection of aeroplanes and helicoptors on display and the we found all of the displays informative and interesting. The fire appliances that are on displayed are hooused in a small hanger and because of this they are not displayed to there full attention. I would have liked to have seen a Lancaster Bomber on display but this was not to be. A couple of the games that you could play were out of order which was a shame. We didnt eat in the Naffi but it looked very popular. We stayed a lot longer than we anticipated and we shall definately return again when the proposed new hanger has been built.

“Well worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2011

This was one of the best days of our holidays. We spent hours in the museum. Loved hearing about the history and especially in the cinema area where you could hear stories from the French soldiers. We loved it!!!!

“Best Day Of Our Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2011

We took our 6 yr old daughter the the museum and thought it was amazing! The staff are brilliant and really helpful. There is so much history to the place and it is all brought to life by the exibits. It was the best day of your holiday when we visited York and would recommend it to anyone with or without kids.

“A museum for all the family”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2011

This isnt one of those clinical museums where one is frightened to make a noise or touch anything,it is a museum operated by enthusiasts who have done an excellent job in making this former WW2 Bomber Base into a museum.

Its great fun and provides the visitor with a wealth of things to see and doo, A must for men and boys who love history and aircraft!
