“Good Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

Went here with my hubbie for a nice meal. The menu is varied, you can pick from it or have the buffet. Wee picked from the menu and tried something different. There were plenty of choices and the mall we had was delicious. The service was really good too, it was a busy night, but the staff still made the effort to check we were ok. Will set go again.

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2014

This was one of the nicest Indian restaurants I have ever been to. I always choose to go for the buffet option, which is incredible value for money: with such a selection of different starter meals, unlimited naan and a huge variety of curries I can't imagine going for anything else. The restaurant is beautifully done out and feels like an expensive treat, but is actually surprisingly cheap. The staff are incredibly attentive and seem really genuine in trying to make your experience as pleasant as possible. I've been here several times and have never been disappointed.

“Nice Indian”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

Came on a busy saturday night but the restaurant has plenty of seating. We went for the main menu and there was an extensive menu with a lot of regional choices. Good value for money and food is cooked to order so a bit of a wait. The pickle tray had 6 choices which was the best I have ever encountered. Very nice tandoori king prawns and my boyfriend really enjoyed his chicken tikka masala. Good value for money.

“Lovely indian from an indian lover”

Great indian. Comprehensive pickle tray. Beautiful. We go here nearly every time we are in York. Never tried the buffet, always go for the big menu.

“Six Thumbs Down.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014

Still on the trail of a lovely curry in York, this was our latest venture. There's a buffet option, but we stuck with a la carte.
The menu is a waste of time, with attempts at romantic and profound descriptions of dishes - completely unhelpful. This forced us to consult the waiter to assist us in describing/deciding what to have. He was really helpful, and as a necessity does this a lot. Our service throughout was good.
The poppadums and pickle tray was good, the mixed shared starter smelled and tasted of 'deep fry', apart from the bhajis which were decent. None of us enjoyed our mains - mine was very spicy :) but tasteless :(.
Overall, poor .... compared with expectations.
