“Horrible Histories”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

What a brilliant way to spend a hour and a half. They take you through in groups after photographing you chopping your partners head off! You get taken through a series of different historical periods by actors who shock and amuse and get the group to interact. The actors were all very good and our diverse group had a good time and I got to see my wife being burnt at the stake for being a witch. Well worth the admission fee!

“Amazing, well worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

Amazing attraction, would definitely recommend. Good actors and very funny. Old winey couple behind us (mainly wife) complained about a lot of walking, but that's what it was all about! Website was very clear and would recommend to any family or age group! (Apart from old winey wives)

Good job well done!

“Not as good as it used to be”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

£15 for around an hour and 20 minutes , but it just wasn't as good as it used to be, shame. Think it needs a revamp , this was our second visit and it just seems to have lost that scary factor

“An amazing experience!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013 via mobile

Well what can I say! From the moment you enter you are greeted by a jester. Luckily it was my wife's birthday so got her (the jester) to sing happy birthday.....very badly! Lol. You are guided through different rooms with different actors telling different stories and they were all excellent! Very interactive and you can tell that they love there job!
This is a must if going to York!

“Good but not great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013

The 'tour' takes about 70 minutes, so you get a fair bit for your money. It's pretty entertaining and some scenes are very 'enjoyable'. It was slow to start and, to be honest, they could do a bit more to build on the agreeably tense atmosphere.
We imagined it would be a lot of fun to do in a large group with people you knew.
(The final, 'execution' scene was less impressive than it could have been as the young actor had lost the vital axe prop and hurriedly picked up a broomstick to perform the 'beheading'!)
