We stayed for one night when attending a service at the Minster, which is only a few steps away.
The room had a lovely view with the Minster to one side, and was very quiet. The building is old and in keeping with its surroundings .It was :cosy,Christmasy and inviting. They have got the balance just right between maintaining the original features of an old building, and providing modern facilities and décor; and on a cold winters day the underfloor heating in the bedroom was an unexpected bonus. The staff were friendly and professional, and couldn't have been more helpful, including giving us a map of the local area when we arrived. We will definitely stay there again, and would recommend it to anyone else. Brilliant !! The only downside( and why I gave them 4/5) was that the café/Bistro closed at 7 on a Sunday, even though it was the busy run up to Christmas, and the room service food was just about ok.
