“Perfect location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

You are not going to get a better placed hotel for sightseeing in York. Room was nice and roomy and you could hear the Minster chimes from your room. Breakfast was lovely - sometimes a bit of a wait but worth it. Your car is parked a distance away so if you intend to keep using it during your stay it could be a problem - we didn't so it was no problem. They sort all of that out for you - take it away and bring it back to you. Would definitely stay there again.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and it won't be the last! It is everything you would need for a lovely stay in York. The location is fantastic with the beautiful York minster on the doorstep, and York city centre 2 minutes away. The staff are all lovely from the receptionist to the waitress'. The breakfast is a must!!!! The atmosphere is lovely, there is a large range to choose from the buffet and a really nice menu to have a cooked breakfast. The scrambled egg and smoked salmon was delicious!!!
Both times we've stayed in really nice rooms overlooking the minster. We also paid extra for the bigger room and was glad we did. All in all I think this is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful city!

Room Tip: One overlooking the minster!

This gem of a hotel is within easy walking distance of all of the best of York, including shopping. The reception staff are very pleasant and eager to help. Standard room more than adequate, comfortable bed with a lovely spacious very clean bathroom. Bathrobes provided. We only stayed bed and breakfast and wow what a breakfast, no self service here, everything served to you with a good voice of classic breakfast dishes including smoked haddock, kedgeree, eggs benedict and also the full English and more. We would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again and indeed we look forward to our next visit.
If we had one negative comment, that would be the parking charges.

Loved this hotel. It couldn't be in a better location next to the Minster and the service was excellent. Our room was spacious, maybe a bit tired looking in parts, but very clean with lots of little extras.

I love the way this hotel pays attention to detail; the staff couldn't do enough for you and the food was so good, that we changed our plans and ended up eating their both nights. The breakfast also were superb. Definitely plan to visit there again.

We were hugely impressed with the BWP Dean Court Hotel and all of our small party gave it top marks - not bad considering there was a 14 year old with us too! Location was the main reason for choosing this hotel (it is right next to the Minster) but it very soon became obvious that it scored highly on service (very friendly), atmosphere (not your standard identikit hotel), food (excellent) and value for money (we had a deal which made it nearly as cheap as a Premier Inn - and much nicer!). Our bags were taken up to our room and the helpful staff were on hand for any problems during our stay (I had none, luckily). My room could have done with a lick of paint, but I noticed as I was leaving that painting had started right outside, so it looks as if the top floor is going to have a make-over. Rooms clean and well stocked with the usual teas, coffees and biscuits. A great view of the Minster too was a bonus. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to friends too - it has everything you need really to make a stay in York brilliant!

Wow...,What an amazing hotel with equally amazing views!
We recently stayed here for a romantic break away, the staff were fantastic and so helpful in organising a suprise bottle of champagne in the room upon arrival.
Nothing was too much trouble and the room was brilliants with the most stunning views of the minster.
Thank you for a perfect stay.

We were absolutely delighted with the BWP Dean Court Hotel, ideally placed with a relaxed atmosphere. From the moment we checked in we found the staff in all areas to be very professional, polite and genuinely friendly. We received an upgrade to a spacious room at the back of the hotel with large bathroom and separate shower and a very generous hospitality tray. Having requested a quiet room we were not disappointed.

An extensive breakfast buffet to start with, followed by a wide choice from the menu in addition to the 'Full English', (which they will tailor-make to suit your tastes) delicious and beautifully presented. Do try the Bistro, we had the best fish and chips in beer batter that we have ever tasted, in a nice relaxed atmosphere with unobtrusive background music (a big plus in our book).

The valet parking was excellent, and we did not use the car at all during our visit taking full advantage of the public transport system, and sightseeing buses. It took less than 10 minutes to get our car back for our return journey.

We have stayed in many BW Hotels in the USA and have to say this has been the best yet, what a wonderful Yorkshire Welcome. Thank you BW.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room at the back of the hotel.
