“Quiet & great location.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

We stayed here in Nov 2013, £100 deposit required on arrival for any damages, which they do state in the small print however when queried when it will be returned they said 4-5days if not then contact the bank!!!! Anyhow, we stayed in apartment no.10 on the top floor, no lift all stairs. The apartment was modern & could have been cleaner as in the carpets had stains on. Fully modern kitchen with washer, Oven & fridge. The Living room was within the Kitchen & had a settee, TV & coffee table. The bedroom was spacious with a double bed, Could have done with a TV in the bedroom seens as though there is an aerial point on the wall in the room. Bathroom was modern with a bath & shower although the shower was not very hot on the hottest setting. They advise you take your rubbish when leaving & place it in the bin within the car park or be fined £25!!! I would advise you book a car parking space in advance as there is only around 9 spaces & there very tight to get into. Car park is secure.
Very central to York with less than a 5 minute walk into the centre, I would stay here again due to its location.

Stayed here for 2 nights with 3 girlfriends in a 2 bedroomed apartment. Beautiful, clean, spacious and well equipped. Great location 2 min walk to shops, bars and the river. Free car parking too but make sure you book a space ahead of your journey.
Definitely staying here again.

We stayed here for 2 nights on a voucher deal as a party of 4 adults and one 5 year old child. What an amazing deal we got!
We arrived early and went to the reception of the Queens Hotel to ask where we could park until our appointed check-in at 3pm and the lovely reception staff let us check in early. They were very helpful and friendly as was the lady cleaning the apartments who always asked if we needed anything when we bumped into her.
The apartment was beautifully appointed, spacious and perfectly located for exploring York on foot having parked our car in the secure car park under the apartments. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment (no. 12) which had 2 double beds in well sized rooms, one of which had an en-suite with a shower. The sofa bed provided a further sleeping area in the main living area which contained a kitchen, sitting area and dining table with access onto a balcony. There was a large separate family bathroom and plenty of storage.
Our deal included breakfast in the Queens Hotel round the corner which was a perfect start to each day. Plenty of choice and excellent food on offer.
We couldn't fault the apartments, the service or the value for money. We will be back.

Room Tip: The apartments are located in a quiet street so I think any apartment would be as peaceful as ours w...

I booked this 2 bed apartment through Hoseasons. We were staying for the weekend for the races so knew we would need to get booked up early. I chose this for its location and I have to say I don't think I could have got much better. You have to collect the keys from the Queen's Hotel but it is literally round the corner.

We were in apartment 15 which has 2 flights of stairs so bear that in mind if any of the party has mobility issues. Its very secure as you have to go through a locked gate to get in the apartment block and then another locked door before you even get to your apartment. The apartments are beautifully decorated and absolutely spotless! We gave the parents the en-suite bedroom which they appreciated and we took the other. Both bedrooms were lovely, clean and comfortable with decent sized wardrobes. The bathroom was large (again absolutely spotless) with a fantastic shower. The water was absolutely red hot all the time so no messing waiting for it to heat up..

The living room had plenty of chairs and a dining table, again lovely and a flat screen tv on the wall. There is tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits which is a nice touch when you want a cuppa after unpacking! There are a couple of supermarkets close by so you can stock up and not have far to carry the bags. In terms of location, its 1 minute from the Ouze and about 5 mins walk to the main shops. There are also some really nice restaurants nearby so if you do want to stay close to home, these apartments are ideal.

The check out is 10am but our train wasn't til 12pm so we left our bags at the Queens Hotel whilst we had a potter about. The overall service from start to finish was excellent.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, which was more that adeuate for a family of four. Both bedrooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The apartment was perfectly equipped for the short trip we made, and was perfectly situated close enough to the city and had great amenities close by. The only criticism was with regard to the windows and patio door, the opening was restrictive and it did get quite warm in the evenings, that siad, we mainly used it for a base, afternoon breather base and to sleep. Would highly recommend this for families looking for a clean and comfortable accomodation.

4 of us stayed in apartment 15 in Victoria Cloisters. Check in was smooth at the Queens hotel, as was checking out. The apartment was in a fantastic location and had all the amenities we needed. Very clean and cosy. I would most definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone.

We stayed here for three nights covering an Anniversary visit to York. We were in one of the larger one-bedroomed apartments on the first floor at the front. The position of the apartments is excellent, being only five minutes walk into the city centre over the Ouse Bridge. With a comprehensive bus network around York there is no need for a car between arrival and departure, but having on-site parking is an added bonus. We booked through Hoseasons which seems to "guarantee" a space with all but the smallest apartment; but with 16 apartments and only 9 parking spaces ensure you have a space included with your booking. Our apartment was modern, clean, well equipped and the bed extremely comfortable. Unfortunately being on the front we got continual noise from the security gate and parking gate clanging open and shut - someone from the building next door was complaining about this noise on our morning of departure! Whilst the road outside is reasonably quiet during midweek days unfortunately delivery lorries, refuse collectors, and the like seem to be constant visitors to the area from around 6-00am each day. Then on our last day it was highway vehicles and cranes from the crack of dawn; and the road got closed so that you could not easily get to the Queens Hotel to hand back the keys! Our only real problem with the apartment was with the bed-settee and armchair. They were both very low and uncomfortable; so we used all the pillows and cushions to raise ourselves up and try to get moderately comfortable. If you can get a deal we would definitely recommend these apartments for a visit to York - especially if the clanging gates can get fixed!

Room Tip: Try to get an apartment in the back block away from the gates and road.
