We stayed here three nights while visiting York. Upon our arrival we were very warmly greeted by Nigel who helped with our luggage and showed us to our room.
We stayed in the family room which accommodated the five of us in three single and one double bed. The room was large, clean and spacious with more than enough room for everything and everyone. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was roomy and very modern.
The location is ideal as it is literally a five minute walk to the city wall.
The breakfasts were very tasty and there were plenty of options. Nigel's mom took our orders. She was so lovely and charming…after three days there, we all began to feel like we were her own kids!
When it came time for us to leave, Nigel allowed us to keep our bags there after we checked out so we could pick up our rental car, and when we returned he once again helped us out with our bags.
All in all, I simply cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was at The Palm Court in York. Nigel, Helen and Nigel's mother (I believe he said her name was Beryl) were the most gracious, welcoming, helpful and warm people you could ever meet, and our stay there was perfect. If I am ever fortunate enough to return to York, I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Cheers from your Canadian friends, and thanks again for a lovely stay!
