I stay at Argyle House at least a dozen times a year as it's my favourite get away place from the stresses of my work as a chef. I consider Bill and Mel to be great hosts, very welcoming, polite and personal friends of mine. Last time I stayed, which was just last week, they presented me with a birthday card on my departure as they knew it was my 30th birthday this week. I also witnessed them provide a bottle of champagne to a honeymoon couple whilst I was there. This is just a couple of examples to demonstrate the friendly manner and kind approach of these lovely hosts.
Bill has also helped me in the past with financial matters when my wallet was stolen. I really can't say enough to anyone except remember Argyle house when you want a break at the best coastal town of Whitby.

I have stayed in many hotels over the years both for business and leisure. I can confidently say this has been one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The couple who run it are so friendly and welcoming. I felt just like I was at home.

The rooms were cleaned every day and it looked and felt so fresh. The bed was so comfortable I wanted to stay in it all day. The breakfasts were fantastic also, especially as Bill came and had a chat with us and gave us some good places to visit and their lovely little boy jude was the sweetest little child I have ever met.

I will be visiting again this autum and next summer and I urge anyone reading this to consider this hotel as a place to stay.

As part of our 'trip around UK' holiday, we spent 2 nights at Argyle House. The welcome was warm and friendly and the rooms clean and spacious. The location of this guest house is ideal for exploring the surrounding areas too. The prices are very decent for en-suite rooms and the breakfast should also be commented on, as it was mega delicious!!! Will definately be back when we visit the UK again.

My partner and I stayed here for the first time and i would definatly go again, Bill and Mel are perfect hosts they couldn't off done more to help we had a first class service and the room was one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in, We will definatly be rebooking and returning to argyle house.
