“Full English”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

After taking the advice of other Trip Advisor reviewers, we tried the Singing Kettle for breakfast during our week long stay in Whitby. They are not wrong! Great for a 'full english' or whatever combination you fancy from the menu. There are a couple of notice boards out on the main street, directing you up the alley at the side of the Angel Hotel - otherwise this place could be easily missed. The £4.90 price tag, included toast, bread and butter and a 2nd cup of tea/coffee - I honestly don't know how they do such a plate full for the price!
Returned twice during our stay and definitely use this place again on our next visit.

“Impressed..........very!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013 via mobile

Wow, what a fine breakfast, if I've ever enjoyed a better one, then, I just don't remember when. A real bargain at £4.95 and it included a fine mug of tea and a round of bread and butter. Freshly prepared, wonderful ingredients a complete and utter taste sensation.....am strongly considering a move up north...

“GOOD ENGLISH BREAKFAST”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

Agree with other reviews couldn't fault the breakfast ,service or price. My only complaint was as I don't drink hot drinks I asked for an orange juice and was given a cheap, warm dilute glass of pop and was charged 80p for the privellage, just need to put cartons of fresh orange in a fridge in my opinion.

“Breakfast where and when you need it.”

Singing Kettle is a great greasy spoon cafe. No frills, just what you need. (Trip advisor on the other hand, is a waste of 100 keystrokes.)

“Can't rate this highly enough!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

After two tepid and tasteless breakfasts at the Angel, for which we had to wait 25 minutes, we decided to try this little cafe just outside the Angel's hotel entrance.

It was fantastic! Seriously the best English Breakfast I have ever had! Sausage, double eggs (on toast) bacon cooked exactly how I like it - fat crisped but flesh still soft, gloriously tasty, tinned tomatoes, loads of mushrooms, with bread and butter and mug of lovely tea, made strong enough for us included in the price! Great value!!

Fast service with food cooked in the same room behind a low screen! We went back the next day - and we will return!!! Spoons - never again, after this!!!
