We stayed in the family suite on the tippy-top floor. The room was absolutely lovely: spacious, o-so-clean, and updated. Beautiful views from here! Tea and cakes were laid out for us to enjoy the afternoon of our arrival, then breakfast the next morning was one of the best we've had during our 6-week trip through England. DO NOT MISS the breakfast sausage; they are made locally, and you haven't had really good sausage till you've tasted these. Location was good for seeing Whitby. If I had to snatch at straws, I would say the pillows in the room were very, very hard. I suppose some tastes might prefer large, hard pillows, but I woke up with an awful crick in the neck from them. Water pressure also was trickle-ly, but if you want to stay in a lovely historic place, some things just cannot be helped. The water at least was nice and hot, and the bathroom, sparkling. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
