“Weekend Break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2011

My girlfriend and I have recently stayed at this hotel and can only say what a fantastic time we had. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the facilities of the spa, which although the hot tub was not hot, the sauna and steam room was good as well as the pool. Chiled out reading a book after experiencing an enjoyable massage beforehand. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was superb as well as reasonable, all the food is brought in locally. The room we had was amazing, it was spacious and well equiped, with molton brown accessories which my partner was very happy about. Will definitely stay at this hotel again in the Summer.

From the moment we arrived at Raithwaite Hall, we were amazed! The friendly staff and excellent greeting, the feel of the hotel. The rooms were of an excellent quality and had everything you could need. Spending most of the afternoon at the Spa, the facilities were spotless and the massages great! As for the dinner, the food was of an excellent quality and the service matched it!

All in all, an excellent hotel and spa and we'd all go back again!

My husband and I have just returned from a short break at Raithwaite Hall. From the moment we stepped out of the car, when a charming man came and asked if he could help with our luggage to the moment we left we had nothing but outstanding service. The room was well equipped with an amazingly comfortable bed and large welcoming bathroom.
The food was delicious and well presented.
The spa facilities are as good as any I have been to . The pool a good size and as everything else spotlessly clean.
I had booked into the spa for a back and neck massage but as i had a cold on the day we arrived I asked the girls on reception if I could change my treatment as i didnt fancy laying down. They accomodated me with sit up foot treatments and after the treatment one of the girls on reception gave me a complimentary support oil for my cold. A very kind and decent gesture that went a long way towards the overall fantastic experience of the whole weekend
.Sandsend is a hidden gem in the east coast and this 5 star luxury hotel is just what was missing. We look forward to returning.

Room Tip: our room had a crescent shaped balcony which was lovely

I have stayed on the East Coast of Yorkshire several times on business in the past and have never found anywhere decent to stay - thank goodness now for Raithwaite Hall!

This hotel has only been open for just over 3 weeks but you wouldn't know it from the professionalism and friendliness of the staff and the warm and welcoming atmosphere inside - something that usually takes a while to acquire for a new hotel.

My room was lovely with one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, luxurious bathrobes and - I was very excited to discover - a generous array of Molton Brown toiletries in the bathroom! The fresh bushukan citrus bodywash was just the thing I needed to energise me after an hour in the gym!

Sadly I didn't get to experience the pool and spa which looked absolutely gorgeous but I'll definitely save it for a return visit!

A hidden gem minutes outside of Whitby. A long over due addition to the North East Coast.

The staff throughout our weekend stay were excellent, from the intial greeting by the Duty Manager, Mr Gordon Beck to our departure with goodbyes by Jane in house keeping (she was great with the children). We stayed with two children (6 years and 7 years) in a garden suite, which was ideal. A bedroom for the parents and a separate sitting room which turned into a bedroom for the children. Nice touches on arrival; fresh fruit, water, home made biscuits and a bottle of prosecco.

We ate early in the bar both nights, where we were served excellent food and cocktails, even special non alcoholic ones for the children (a great childrens menu too). Breakfast in the morning didn't disappoint with both continental and cooked available, lots of hot coffee and a basket of mixed toast.

We would thoroughly recommend a stay, the staff cannot do enough, the Duty Manager Mr Gordon Beck is at hand all times to ensure a seamless operation is run, the garden and surrounding area is beautiful, the food is great and the service is exceptional. Looking forward to our next stay. We wish them the best of luck.

Room Tip: Garden Suite ideal with children, or great for extra luxury as a couple.

My Fiancee & I stayed last weekend with a view of getting married there next February. From our initial entrance in to the hotel, we were blown away with the exceptional service given to us by the staff - Dave the Concierge, Richard in the Bar & Clare, the Wedding Planner all were so helpful, enthusiastic & friendly.

The hotel itself is set in beautiful grounds & the facilities are first class, as was the food. We recieved a complimentary upgrade to the Jefferson Suiite which was absolutely stunning and so comfortable.

We are really looking forward to returning next Feb & are fully confident they will make our special day unforgettable.

Room Tip: Jefferson Suite
