“Brilliant location, owners, food and breakfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

Went to Whitby for a day trip with an overnight bag and the hope of finding a last minute b&b. What a great find, a few minutes walk into the old town, new town, west cliff and beach. Great rooms with a lovely breakfast and great hosts. It's only since arriving home and reading other reviews that we realised it is a dog friendly b&b as there is no trace of dogs at all in the room. Will be back and highly recommended to others - a bargain at £65 a night. Thank you for a great stay.

Great place to stay, convenient location within less than 5 minutes walk from the town centre. Made to feel very welcome and rooms were large and well appointed. Dogs are welcome - although no evidence that any dogs had been in the room and recommendations of where to eat and drink if you have a dog with you.

Stayed here last year when visited with friends. New owners this year. Took the kids this time, had a family room. Was beautiful - the welcome was first class, very friendly. Room was great and had our own big, beautiful bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, other guests very friendly. My youngest daughter loved the owner's dog, Rufus, who was gorgeous. He met us on the landing in the morning and was very happy to see us!
Will visit them again, thanks to you both!xx

We booked this because it was dog friendly, we like to go away with our dog and it was perfect. I can describe how friendly this guest house is, we were made to feel very welcome, very comfortable and very easy. The room was huge, big and very comfortable bed, big ensuite but more so plenty of room for the dog to sleep. The walk into the town took no more than 10 mins, parking available free outside. We had a fab day at Robin Hoods Bay, found a dog friendly pub the George Hotel near to the station, fish and chips and then back later to our room. The breakfast was spot on plenty to choose from, if you like kippers remember to order the day before otherwise breakfast perfect, even got veggie menu which suited well. Again very welcoming during breaki. If you want a lovely friendly guest house, then this is perfect esp if you have a puppy doo to take along. We will definately be going again, thank you

This was our 2nd stay at Autumn Leaves and after the WGW in April so we booked again for November.
From the moment we arrived Jan, Dean and wonderful big dog Rufus made us feel welcome. Jan made us a pot of tea on our arrival and the warmth and friendliness just makes you feel good about your stay.

We stayed in room 2 again and this room has everything that we could want for a good break. Our room was very spacious and quiet and ever so comfortable and with a lovely bathroom.
The full english breakfast is amazing, all locally sourced and a very good plateful to start your day. My partner loved the kippers on Sunday morning and she said they were perfectly cooked and so tasty.

We felt so at home and the combination of Jan, Dean (& Rufus's) friendlieness and the lovely environment of the big period house makes Autumn Leaves a first class place to stay.
You will not be disappointed at all.

We booked again for April 2012 :-)

Room Tip: I'm sure all the rooms are perfect
