We ate here on a saturday in june at around seven. We were seated straight away at a table for four (we were a couple) which was nice as we have previously eaten at the two seater tables, which are a little cramped.
Started with poppadoms and pickle tray, better than average although I do think that they were a little dear. We then chose the set menu for two, which comprises two starters, two mains, a side dish, a rice and a naan for under thirty quid. Starters were amongst the best we have ever had - the chicken tikka was really moist (I do find it can often be dry) and large, generous chunks of chicken. For the main event, we had chicken rogan josh, chicken dopiaza madras hot, mushroom dopiaza, garlic naan and pilau rice. Portions were massive, we were both starving on entering but couldn't finish everything! Food was served quickly and was tasty and hot. We both agreed that it was among the best we had tasted! Naan bread was also a real treat. My only complaint is that the restaurant is a little dark, and the waiters seemed to be stalking around all the time, which seemed to detract from the atmosphere. That said the service was good, just a little overbearing. We will definately return, but may have to skip the starters to leave room for the main!
