4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2014

Hotel within easy walking distance of the city centre. A bit noisey if you want to have the window open in a room at the front of the hotel. Parking in nearby multi-story carpark nearby (paid for by hotel) . Didn't eat in as many other places nearby were too tempting.

We stayed on a Sunday night prior to a boating holiday on the Broads. The room was typical of a city centre budget hotel, basic but functional. Very clean, roomy and comfortable. The front desk staff were very helpful, helping us to find some evening entertainment. Meal deal was very good value for money and again the staff were cheerful, helpful and friendly. We will definitely use this hotel again on our next visit to Norwich

Duke Street is very central, modern, clean and tidy, with helpful and friendly staff. We slept like logs. The car park is a few steps away and feels secure. Marvellous value for money. We even had a view of the Cathedral. Couldn't fault it.

The Norwich City Centre Premier Inn is a ten minute walk from the centre of town. Car parking is a few minutes walk from the front door in a sectioned part of the NCP - look out for the signs as you enter Duke Street - and it is free , just remember to punch your ticket at check out.

This is a new PI and the rooms and facilities are first class - comfortable bed , powerful shower and sleep guaranteed pillows. Staff were very helpful - breakfast good and the bar well stocked. We stayed on a Friday night and on our arrival back at the hotel a little after 2300 found a party going on - on a terrace across the road - however at 2330 things finished and we had a very peaceful nights sleep.

We were on the fourth floor facing front - if you like Premier Inns you will be pleased with this one.

We stayed here 3 nights for our wedding anniversary, reception staff very helpful & cheerful, very knowledgeable of the area, rooms comfy and spacious , bathroom in need of a bit of tlc but nothing drastic have seen worse, brilliant location for the city centre only 5 min walk, you park the car in the multi storey car park & the hotel pay the car parking fee ( you can park outside the hotel to unload / reload, as it was our wedding anniversary we wanted somewhere special to have a meal on the evening & chose BRUMMELS its a seafood restaurant but also do duck or steak , its a very nice cosy restaurant yes a little on the expensive side but well worth every penny :) back to the hotel now if I had to say about any down falls it would have to be the bacon at breakfast it was very touch needed a steak knife to cut it but to be fair this isn't the only hotel we have found this problem, will be retuning very soon .

4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014

We have stayed at the hotel previously and we knew where to park the car in the nearby NCP car park so parking was a breeze, we arrived in the foyer and there was 2 people on reception, 1 British guy and 1 European lady who it has to be said was struggling to work the computer and it has to be said also struggling with her English at times. The British guy was being kept busy with another family who couldn't comprehend the policy of only 2 adults maximum in the room so when we checked in the lady really did struggle to try and add the internet to the room as we had paid for this but wanted another device added for another £3.

Thankfully the British guy was on hand to show her the way and in fairness she did apologise saying she was in training but clearly this does add an additional workload to the other worker when he has to break away from his till to help her, Premier Inn needs to ensure people on the desk are proficient in their work as this is the first impression most people encounter.

Anyway, room nice, usual setup but the beds were hard and despite a topper this was not the best nights sleep we have had and both the wife and I complained of a bad back in the morning. The only one who had a good nights sleep was our 3 year old but then again she could sleep on a rock!!

The restaurant was nice and we chose the meal deal, the waiter whilst keen was very pushy, coming over every 2 minutes asking if we had chosen yet and this did grate I must admit, he did explain the meal deal well which we wanted anyway and the food was nice when it arrived.

The breakfast was good but very busy and we waited about 2 minutes before we got a table which was excellent and the food was plentiful as promised and the usual full cooked breakfast was there including cereals and toast.

All in all the hotel didn't disappoint apart from the hard bed and I am sure if we had complained they would have refunded the money as promised.

For a hotel with free parking in central Norwich, good food and good service its well worth the money, just dont rush the receptionist if she has in training on her badge

Room Tip: Avoid room 326 unless you like a hard bed

Have stayed here a couple of times. It is very convenient for the shops and centre, which is literally just down the road. This Premier Inn has a smallish restaurant. Last time I stayed we had an evening meal, which I didn't like and wouldn't eat there in the evening again. As it is so close to the centre, there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Breakfast was fine - usual selection of continental and full English.
Rooms were clean and staff friendly.
Only downside is that there is no car park attached. You have to use the multi story down the road. However, it was a very short walk and car park seemed secure. The hotel reimburse your ticket. If using a Sat Nav make sure you put the car park postcode in, not the hotels as that brings you out halfway up the road, beyond the car park and it's all one way.
