“Not for vegetarians”

Good choice of American diner favourites, Ribs, steaks, burgers, various combos. Cooked well and presented well. Quite busy but service was quick and friendly. Will certainly return.

“Could become a favourite go-to choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2014

After two recent visits to this restaurant, both birthday celebrations, I have to say I enjoyed each occasion and came out feeling full up and happy. The food is good, not overpriced, and the service is friendly. Nothing seems too much trouble and the atmosphere is nice, we didn't feel rushed even tho people were waiting to get a table (we booked, both times) and some had to be turned away. It isn't a big place but that adds to the charm, if it got too big by moving elsewhere I think the dynamics might be different. If they want to expand, they should do it by finding a second place to open in a different part of the city so more people could enjoy the food and the experience as it comes across now. I would just say, if you don't want or can't have too much salt in your diet, ask for the fries to be unsalted as it is added before serving. Just a little thing - probably a few tweaks needed overall but nothing to criticise really. Keep up the good work Shaun and co!

“Could've been so much better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014

Went for a birthday celebration after walking past and drooling over the menu. It was fairly busy but we were seated straight away. Wr shared a plate of warm nuts to start with which were very good. Drinks were served quickly, although lemonade out of a 2l bottle - really? Why can't people use cans? Waiter service was friendly and efficient although it would've been nice if the waiter could've looked at us while we were being served instead of scanning the room - but as no major problem there. The food was prompt but not rushed. The burgers looked amazing but the chilli I asked for with mine had to be hunted down under the bap and didn't bring anything to the party. If it wasn't there it wouldn't have been missed. The pulled pork on the burger was good but needed more seasoning as although it was tender and juicy it lacked any flavour. All other meals looked fine apart from the serious lack of fries on one. The music seemed somewhat of an afterthought too - could barely hear it. All in all I wasn't disappointed but I wont be rushing back either - although a return is out of the question. Good effort guys but a little more attention to detail needed.

“A taste of USA BBQ in Norwich!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

Incredible, authentic USA BBQ food in Norwich. A very trendy restaurant, serving great food with friendly servers. Great menu- the brisket, pulled pork, burger, mac n cheese and pit beans were all incredible! We went as a couple and we couldn't fault it. Go here, go here, go here!

“A massive mouthful of "meh"..”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

The menu and website promises so much...however, it's basically like a cramped, hot, loosely American-themed canteen...in a cave... (there are few American-ish pictures up...and occasionally an American song on...but that's about it...it was more like being transported to Swindon than Louisiana)...nowhere to wait until your table is free (the waiter suggested we could either go to the Belgian Monk for a drink or wait on the street...so we waited on the street...for 20+ minutes....yay)...my £16 (yes, £16) burger was completely raw inside...that's not right. It's a massive case of style over substance....but without the style...
