“Beautiful walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

Excellent university (My sister went there)
On fabulous surroundings. Plenty of places to go walking around the broad/lake.
Interesting looking buildings to look at too.
Lots of people fishing there too.

“Spectacular campus”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Quite frankly, this is a great place for long walks which is the reason I visited it. The huge campus is located on a river and it is a green oasis. The day I walked there, the grounds had dozens of rabbits hopping around. Very pretty!

“Not just a University”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

The architecture is worth the visit - concrete box residences overlooking the river flood plain.
There is also the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts - many exhibitions are free.
A walk round the lake, through the woods, round the campus - all worthwhile.
Then visit the Sainsbury Centre Coffe Shop etc. for a wonderful view and good coffe, reasonable priced food

“Great for concrete lovers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012 via mobile

Studied here as a mature student, graduated in July.good points.... The library, the free public lectures, the grounds and the lake and the sainsbury arts centre,, that's amazing.Bad points...the concrete, the concrete, the dreadful non event style graduation ceremony in the subterranean sports hall... Oh and have I mentioned the concrete?

“A great place to study just outside the main city without the hassle.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

My wife managed to study for an MA whilst pregnant and found the grounds and the local river a great place to walk around as it was close to her place of employment.
Being a working mum to be the main problem is parking like all University's but the swimming pool and the climbing wall is a great place to sit down and have coffee.
My son uses the sports field in the evenings and comes home impressed.
The UEA has been around for a long time and has a very good reputation but what an eye sore with those nasty concrete buildings. Looks like a housing estate in Erith.
