“At different museum. Highly recomended.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2014

Visiting the Stranger's Hall Museum is the closest thing to time travel. Enter each of its rooms is like stepping into different centuries. It is a delight to see objects in the place that used to occupy in the house and not into displays as we often see on conventional museums. Highly recomended.

“History beyond compere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Run by a wonderful band of dedicated volunteers.A modern day Tardis, looks nothing from the outside but step into a wonderful medieval merchants home, full of wonderful oak timbers and glorious windows. Something for everyone. Lots of up and down stairs for those who have to think about such things.

“Great House”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

This was a home to wealthy merchants and Mayors when Norwich was in its heyday, this beautifully preserved building dates back to 1320. its like stepping into a time machine, we took a stroll in the lavender-filled garden, and maybe meet a costumed character from times gone by…

We enjoy this place so much

“Great - once you've found it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

This house (collection of houses) is tucked away up an alley and is difficult to find if you rely only on the maps which come with the tourist brochures. But it really is worth the effort. It gives a better impression of the crowded back streets of a medieval town and the accommodation found there than anywhere else. And all the rooms are very nicely decorated and equipped in a variety of period styles suitable to the different parts of the house. And there is a nice garden out the back, accessible if the way is ok.
