“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2014

Great location,10 minutes walk to the city centre. Also a 5 minute walk to a street full of chain restaurants,Chiqutos,Frankie& Bennies etc.Plus a couple of pubs..The hotel has its own restaurant called the Lord Nelson which was good value. The room we had overlooked an office block which was not brilliant. The other side of the hotel overlooks the river and train station. However as we only paid £29 for a huge bedroom and bathroom with free parking all day & 30 minutes free wi-fi.it was excellent value for money. The car park was difficult to find via the Sat Nav,as it takes you to the front of the building which is on a one way street. All in all a really nice experience. Also reception staff/waitering staff were really friendly and welcoming

Room Tip: you need to overlook the river

My husband and I have stayed here on many occasions. Its in a perfect location whether you're shopping, eating out going to the football, arrived by train. Although its right in the middle of the nightlife where ever we've had our room we've never been disturbed.

Cold room, OK service but restaurant below expectations. Location good close to city centre and the train station. Good agreement with local gym. Quite soroundings by the river and within walking distance of central Norwich.

What an amazing trip! Norwich itself has wonderful shops, history and culture and is so worth a trip to. If you go then I highly recommend you stay at this hotel. It is situated in the centre of Norwich right by the river, which gives you lovely views from the rooms. It was a gentle ten minute walk to the shops and believe me when I say I don't like walking far. Lots of small independent shops as well as the chains which is nice to see and some great coffee shops to sit and people watch.
The hotel was extremely comfortable and clean. The room was very spacious and overlooking the river. The staff were very welcoming and helpful all the time, even the housekeeping said hello and smiled. There is a Table Table restaurant which we ate in for dinner and the food and service was great. There is also a Costa coffee in the building which again the service was great and staff were very helpful.
Overall this was a great stay and I will definitely be staying there again.

Stayed just for 1 night and found everything to be just right. Had a really good sized family room. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

Meal deal dinner and breakfast was really good value and the food was really good too.

Will stay here again when next in Norwich

Stayed here when I went to the University open day, couldn't have asked for more - nice quiet sleep despite being in the city center, really easy to find, and great location - in the middle of the city, right next to the train station & leisure area, although I wouldn't recommend staying here for a university open day as the university is right out on the outskirts & traffic wasn't the best in the city. Food at the hotel was good - wide variety for breakfast & the tea was quite nice
