My second stop at this hotel. Last time it was spot on for my needs, this time it exceeded them! Spotlessly clean, spacious, well maintained and ideally placed for the town center. Can't even nitpick!

Arrived Christmas day, was greeted by friendly staff and given a Christmas card (hand signed!). Room was basic but very clean and comfortable. The price was extremely good considering the time of year.

We arrived a couple of hours before check in. The lady on the desk was very friendly and explained what to do about parking and also recommended places to visit in the town. When we checked in to the room it was spacious and clean. The bed was quite hard and the room was stuffy so I struggled to sleep but that is just me! We were late leaving the room the next day and expected a snide comment from the staff cleaning the room but she was the opposite asking how our night was and wishing us a merry Christmas. This was a great place to stay.

I was in Middlesbrough to attend a rock gig at the Empire, although im only 10 miles down the road i found it was just the same to get a bed at the Travelodge than a taxi home as i booked way in advance.I was aware of where the hotel was and it suited my needs down the ground a few minutes from local pubs and city centre and all that i would expect from a budget hotel. Will stop again if i need to.Lady on reception very helpful everything i would have needed if required, bar, food ect.Clean, bit of road noise, but i tend to sleep with window open.Couldnt fault it.Oh and rail and bus station within 5 minute walk, and Aldi supermarket underneath if required.

We booked this Hotel for two nights to attend my wife's graduation ceremony at Teeside University. What a great find! The Hotel I believe, has recently been brought up to the Travelodge 'new look' standard and is clean and modern. Without good staff even a good hotel would struggle but again Travelodge score heavily in this area. The staff were simply excellent. I can't remember staying in a Hotel with such helpful staff and all local! Breakfast was great and well presented with a good choice of hot and cold food. Highly recommended, should we return to Middlesbrough any time soon, we will, without hesitation, book this Hotel again.
