El Pirata was a tapas place, then a pizza restaurant, but this didn't work out, so it closed down. Now it's re-opened as a tapas place just a few weeks ago. Remembering that the paella there was always good, we went in. (Friday, 3rd July)

Ordered paella Valenciana, wine, olives and water. The wine and olives were fine. Had to ask a couple of times for the water.

After over an hour, my friend said that the paella was coming out of an oven! Needless to say, it arrived dry looking. We couldn't find any chicken in it and said that we'd ordered the mixed chicken and seafood paella. The waitress took it away. Some time later the same paella reappeared from the oven, burnt and with unmarinaded cooked chicken cubes tossed in. We were so famished by now that we picked at the dish and let the manager know that we thought it was disgusting. He took the paella off the bill, as he did for two ladies sitting at the table adjacent to us. But why cook a paella in the oven in the first place?

We won't be going back.

There are loads to things to see and do in London. I've posted a lot of pictures and advise on my travel blog: .

I would highly recommend the British Museum, Westminster Abbey, a boat ride from the Westminster Pier (next to Big Ben) to London Tower (a cheap, easy way to see the city/get a short tour), and the Tower of London. I have more recommendations for other things if you have a bit more time!

Purple Parking was an appauling service. The driver was miserable, not sure if he spoke english as he did not speak to us! He did not help with our suitcases, he just flung open the doors of the trailer and even stood back and watched as a very elderly man struggled to lift his suitcase into the trailer. His radio was very loud, he was listening to a football match whilst driving!!! Just glad we arrived back to our car (which we had to look for) in one piece!!!
We will never use this company again.

We have just returned from a trip to London. We found the people to be friendly and helpful. While in London we attended 4 plays, Carousel, Jersey Boys, Wicked and Mama Mia. Our advice
to people interested in going to a play while in London would be to book them on Line or directly through the theater. We had a terrible experience trying to book tickets at a discounter across from the theater where Mama Mia was playing. The seller was rude, cursed us, and threatened us with the police. I am not familiar with London laws, however, his behavior in the states would have probably warranted a charge for assault.

Millennium Glouster -

We spent three nights here (May 23 to 26). It went way beyond our expectations for the price paid. We arrived early in the morning and while we had to wait a bit for a room, they went out of their way to get it ready several hours before the official check-in time.

The staff was extremely pleasant and always willing to help. The location is fantastic.

Would highly recommend this hotel.
