“Great atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

I was so excited about Gordon’s Wine House before our trip to London. The place itself was very interesting by being underground. As the ceiling was not so high, after hours the air we breathe became very thick and the place was so hot! But no problem for us, we enjoyed the atmosphere with wine (17.10 pound for red house wine) and cheese platter (9.50 pound for two cheese). I can not say that this was the best wine or cheese I have ever had but without doubt it was the most interesting and pleasant bar I have ever seen!

“Lovely little cellar good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2013

This was a fantastic little wine bar with some good rustic plates of food we had the cheese platter and the Gambon plater for lunch. Plenty of food for two and a decent bottle of fizz. It is very small and you have to wait a while to get a table but once sat the atmosphere was great

“Great unusual place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2013

I had been told that this place was great, but really didn't expect it to be so unusual.
I went there for a Sunday lunch with a friend. It wasn't too difficult to find a seat as it was quite a late lunch.
It is very dark but as long as you are not claustrophobic, you should be fine!

The food was really nice. We shared a platter of cheese and nibble, with a lovely glass of wine.

A definite must-go.

“What a lovely little find ......”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2013

You must go! It is cosy, chances of getting a seat initially are slim but it is so unusual and cave like, dark and crowded - snug would describe it best. Great wines ... A definite must visit ...

“dreamy....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2013

This little place is so romantic and cosy, candle lit and full of character and charm. Lots of cheeses, pickles, bread and pies available to nibble alongside a lovely glass (or bottles) of wine.
This place is ideal for a romantic first date, or anniversary. My first date here lead to a wedding!! Lucky me!! Anyway, if you are looking for somwhere unusual, quirky and memorable to take that special someone, or a collection of favorite friends head to Gordon's!
