“Fun time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

We went at a non-peak time. Owned by same chain that owns other pubs. Great staff, met nice people and really enjoyed our afternoon ale break.

“Expensive and very ordinary”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013 via mobile

We tried this for Sunday lunch, having been in before for a drink a couple of times.Mistake!! My missus had roast chicken dinner, which consisted of half a dry skinny small chicken,3 tiny aunt bessie roast spuds, aunt bessie yorkshire pudding and believe it or not,1 1/2,yes,1 1/2 freezer burnt green beans!!! £10.49 I think!!,I had ham eggs and chips, nice eggs, packet ham and not properly cooked frozen chips for £8.49!!. On top of a very expensive couple of pints and halves, and 30 quid went in the blink of an eye,not unusual in london, but would've expected it to be quite a bit better for the money!!

“Nice burgers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

This is a pub like you will find dozens in the UK but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. We came in for a drink but decided to give the hamburgers a go. They were well prepared and tasted really good. We enjoyed eating here.

“Avoid”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

At 8h30pm we ordered fish and chips.
After 10min they said they ran out of all the fish (!) on menu...odd for a place claiming to have the best f&c in town.
Ordered a chicken burger: it was tasteless, boiled rather than grilled, came with very thin slice of tomato...French fries were just cold and hardly eatable.
Apple pie also not that good.
Prices are high.
Make yourself a favor eating someplace else.

“Good boozer and decent grub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013 via mobile

My wife, daughter and I popped in here for a drink after returning from a day doing touristy things. We initially went in for a drink but quickly decided to try the food as we couldn't help but be nosy when watching the waitress bring the dishes out! Yes it's a chain and yes the choices on the menu are typical of pub food, BUT the food was fresh tasty and satisfying especially when washed down with a cold beer! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was also good! Going to try the breakfast tomorrow! This is well worth a visit if staying locally
