Misleading from the start! It is, as someone else suggested, a doorway in a parade of shops. No reception, just a machine that gives you a key and tells you your room number. We were Room 11 right up in the attic. The door to our room is at the bottom of a flight of stairs and we discovered that the door would not lock. We spoke over intercom to a man who told us we could go and look at Room 1 as this was empty. We did this, only to discover it was occupied and had to make our apologies to two young ladies! They had been moved by this man not long before from Room 5! When we tried to report back to him, we could not make contact. Another reviewer said the same thing - what a coincidence!
Room 11 has a small balcony with a fire escape, which is covered with netting and cannot be reached as we could not open the door. We did not have any milk for tea/coffee. The bathroom was spacious but cold - no heating. The breakfast could have been really good but tasted stale and for the rate charged, should have been better than this. The quality was poor.
In summing up, there were some nice touches, but housekeeping is poor and needs more attention. If you are interested in health and safety, do not stay in Room 11.
Maybe the owners should read these reviews, or perhaps they have and are only interested in taking the money! Not much future in that.
