Girls night out to celebrate ur 3 joint birthdays, I didn't know what to expect. Once settled in a small corner of the large atmospheric restaurant we looked and the extensive menu and all said "wow, what a choice!" We decided to order 3 different starters to share - calamar, breaded fried mozzarella (in carrozza) and stuffed mushrooms (fungi ripieni). All very yummy. My friends had traditional "speciality" pizza's but I had the pancakes filled with ricotta and spinach (crespoline alla Fiorentina). All of us could not resist the scrummy choices of dessert, even though we were stuffed to the brim! As we were not being rushed, we took our time to enjoy - strawberry cheesecake, house speciality meringue and profiteroles. Washed down with 2 bottles of house white, we were all very satisfied. The bill for all this, plus sides of garlic bread - the size of a pizza, green salad and jug of water, all came to a very surprizing £107! I secretly messaged one of the waiters that it was one of our birthdays and when the desserts were delivered one had a special extra of cream and candle which was accompanied by 4 staff in darkness singing Italian birthday song! The whole restaurant were clapping! Truly a great night out, whether you want to spend £21.90 on linguini lobster or £3.90 on bread.Thank you Fantozzi for a fabulous night out! All the staff were attentive, polite and a laugh! there were about 15 waiters to serve the full restaurant! WEll done!
