Description: Barrafina is an authentic Spanish tapas bar located in London's Soho. It serves a traditional but contemporary, regional a la carte menu and there is a daily blackboard of specials, created by Executive Head Chef, Barragan Mohacho. Barrafina operates a first come first serve queuing system, and does not take reservations for their 23 stools. However, part of the fun of dining there is eating little bites and sipping on something delicious while making the line. The kitchen is open and guests are close to all the action and drama while their food is prepared.

If you don't mind queuing, you will be rewarded with an excellent casual experience. All fish is good.

“Innovative food”

Fantastic restaurant - some really innovative food like Spanish Barnacles. A bottle of cava with lots of small quality dishes.

Great london classic joint
Tapas that make sense; the menu is very clever as the all concept, bibg a book along you will have to wait in order to have a dinner space. Otherwise aim to be ther for 5'45 pm to be seated at the evening reopening 6pm,
Frith street is anyway busy so time goes quiet fast

N'joy

“Excellent food but long wait”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

The ham here is average, where Barrafina really shines are their croquetas, courgette flowers, padrones peppers and chicken in romesco sauce. You have to be prepared to wait in line as there are only seats around the bar and a few tables outside. As long as you're happy with that, should be fine. The fewer people you go with the easier it is to get a seat so go with your fellow die hard tapas lovers!!!

“Excellent food and trendy atmosphere.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2013

Barrafina has a great atmosphere about it due to the set up in front of the kitchen and limited number of diners. The food is excellent quality and there's a good range of dishes for all tastes. I'd recommend this place to friends but is only really good for very small groups (3 max) given the seating arrangement (side by side). The prices are fair-to-expensive at about £20-30 a head plus drinks.
