In busy Lavender Hill on a Saturday night managed to get a table for 4 in this busy, bustling restaurant. Great charm, friendly and helpful waiters, lots of atmosphere, efficient service. The food was excellent, particularly the starters, where we had, amongst others: Borlotti beans with Italian pork sausages, white wine, onions, tomato sauce and chilli; Beef meatballs in tomato sauce and parmesan; Lentils with friarielli and chilli; Baked fried aubergine with tomato sauce, basil, mozzarella and parmesan. The bean and aubergine dishes were very good. On eof us had a pizza, but thought the base was not quite cooked enough, otherwise the whole meal was memorable. Price was reasonable for London (and that's saying something!). Highly recommended.
