“great value and tasty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

Love Eritrean food and this did not disappoint. Basic decor but the food and service was good. Good value for money too.

“you CAN eat your plate!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

This was my first Eritrean / Ethiopian restaurant since visiting Eritrea a few years ago. I also read earlier reviewers on a number of websites which had given mixed reviews. I tihnk there has been a change of ownership since then as the service was prompt, as well as friendly! The only problem is that they told us their card machine was not working when they gave us the bill. Still!

Atmosphere was good and there is an Eritrean theme to the decor and the music was from the area. The menu was properly explained and we ordered chicken. lamb stew and chickpeas which was served on Injera bread. I have to confess that I cannot get on with injera and this was my last try. It's rice next time! I have tried it a few dozen times, made with Tef rather than wheat but it doesn't work for me. But the quality of the three dishes was very good

“Genuine Food & Hosts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

Food was really tasty and authentic. It felt more of a family house/restaurant as the staff were very welcome and genuine. I strongly recommend it!
We had the spicy lentils and the cod fish for mains, followed by the chickpeas.

“Pleasantly surprised”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

This restaurant is not easily noticeable, but would recommend it! The food is just fantastic and the servings are big. Not pricey at all. The interior is unique and it actually has a garden behind the main resto which is also dotted with tables.
