“Not what it used to be”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

Used to be such a beautiful nice old pub and now it looks just like any other modern gastro pub... trying to be trendy by serving Japanese lager - what a shame.

“Food good, if you don't mind waiting 40 mins between courses”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

I haven't been here for a while but have always enjoyed it in the past.
But last night we were all very disappointed..
The food was very good...when it came. We waited at least 40 minutes between courses. We were told this was because there was a new non-Italian menu and the kitchen were struggling to cope.
This is a poor excuse. They should have been prepared.
I told the waiter that we would only order dessert if it came in a reasonable time.
The fridge had stopped working... so it didn't come at all.
We did get an apology but no offer to reduce the hefty bill.
Won't go back for a very long time.

“exemplary pub food/restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Truly excellent food at this cool Queens Park pub. Good quality ingredients, well cooked by Italian team. Costs are fair......until you add the necessary side dishes so you do end up with a rather large bill. Am a regular so it hasn't put me off yet though!

“Excellent food, great atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

I have lived in Kilburn for 3yrs and only just discovered this place! we turned up on a saturday without a reservation and the manager kindly seated us and after initially saying we may need to give the table back at 8.30, told us we could stay as long as we liked

The starter antipasti was rather basic, but nevertheless tasty. The Duck ragu i had was excellent. It had great flavours and was the perfect portion size. My wife's pasta was also extremely tasty.

i must say this is an excellent place, out of the hustle and bustle of the city with a great vibe on a saturday night. Will definitely be going back at some point. They can get a little busy, but if you are not in a rush then its great to relax and enjoy dinner
