“The atmosphere and service made this a special night!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2010

We had trawled through many options on tripadvisor before opting for this restaurant. Something told me that the slightly out of town location means they will need to try a little harder to gain a good reputation and I was not wrong. Just 2 mins from Baker Street tube station, this restaurant knows how to look after its customers without breaking the bank! The food was presented well and served in a timely manner. After looking into the windows of other chineese restaurants during the day, I would say we got this just about right. We went at 7pm with our two young children (7 and 9) and it was perfect for us. Go on, do it, you wont ne dissapointed!

“Stylish restaurant serves tasty food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2010

I tried to get into this restaurant for sunday lunch but was merely offered a place on the waiting list!So i decided to try it midweek.I went there just after noon today.I found the interior to be stylishly decorated with staff that talked in hushed tones unlike the usual shouted commands of chinese restaurants.I ordered 4 dim sum which were slightly more expensive than they would be in Chinatown.Prawn & Pork dumplings,Chickens feet in black bean sauce,Vitenamese spring rolls and saugae and chicken on rice.I found all of the dishes to be tasty and of the right quantity. My bill including service and a pot of Chinese tea was £15.50.Not quite as good as The Lido which is alas shut at the moment.Unfortunately i cannot get in on a Sunday when i would most like to visit!

“Excellent Cantonese”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2009

We live (and I used to work) near the Phoenix, and return regularly. It's the usual largish Chinese restaurant, so don't expect a lot of charm, but the staff are helpful enough and the food is certainly better than most of Chinatown.

They do good Dim Sum at lunchtime (menus, not trolleys)

“Excellent food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2009

Visited Phoenix palace on a Tuesday night.
The restaurant was busy.Service efficient.
Food excellent,choice extensive.
The only slight negative thing was the staff do not smile that much.
On leaving the restaurant there was photographs of previous customers. This included many politicians,Gordon Ramsay,Tony Blair etc..
Say no more.
