“Great place for brunch.”

The eggs benedict were amazing. The flat White was perfect. The service was quick and the server was incredibly friendly. Great find.

“Unexpected pleasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014

Looked up tripadvisor to select this restaurant just before going there, (on a Tuesday evening) what a great surprise. The atmosphere was lively, the staff courteous, the red house wine was one of the best house wines we've tasted.(£4 for a 175ml glass) The menu is affordable and very different, around 4 or 5 choices for each course, a good sign, and they know their cooking! The restaurant is billed as argentinian, I had a meat, fresh mozzarella (soft and delicious) rocket and peaches starter, salt marsh lamb with grilled aubergines for mains, there was rib eye steak with crushed potatoes, the meat came more or less shredded, not as a normal steak, which was delicious. Starters generally £6, mains £14 to £18 and desserts £5. Only complaint was no cheeseboard for those of us who don't have a sweet tooth. Absolutely delicious coffee, best I've tested in a restaurant. Very enjoyable evening, very relaxing and no rushing. A good find.

“Finding its feet?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2014

Visited recently on the recommendation of a friend for steak. On arriving found it with only one steak on the menu, but we were unperturbed. The cooking seems to have an Italian vibe and it is decently done, if without élan. We did have the steak, and it was properly cooked but not the tenderest ever, although the blend of overall flavours was decent. Good presentation and a nice wine recommendation. Puddings were ok.

Service and staff were attentive. But that was less of a surprise - on a Friday night we were one of four tables in the restaurant.

I read that perhaps there is new management in place and as such this may be a period of settling in and finding its feet. We felt it was a decent local restaurant with prices that are typical of London, and a good staff but a restaurant lacking in atmosphere. But it was not stand out in the overall quality for either London or indeed Chiswick. As such 3*.

“Lola and Simon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2014

I have been going to Lola and Simon for years and I was happy for the people that wanted to sell that it went into a local Chef. I miss the Garlic mushrooms too - and I hear on the grapvine they are coming back this weekend. As for the prices actuallly they have gone down not up! With also a lot more viarity of wines at cheaper prices too, also I the service charge has been reduced too. Great to have such talent in our area instead of having to go uptown and pay twice the price for the same dish we are very lucky I think!
Lovely neighbourhood place I would recomend it to anybody, hands down.
