Came here relatively early, at 7:15 on a Friday evening with a party of seven, and were seated in the high ceilinged center garden room. This is a large, friendly, neighborhood place with a deservedly wide appeal - from families to fashionistas; media professionals to retired couples. An interesting mix and everyone is made to feel quite welcome by a staff that is, although busy, very attentive and efficient; the food arrives surprisingly quickly once ordered. As for that food, it was quite excellent right across the board, from the appetizers to the entrees to the desserts; from the soups to the sides. We ordered grilled fish and grilled meat, traditional casseroles, cold plates and hot plates, salads and sautées - and everyone loved everything except for one dish: the fried calamari was a bit greasy and rubbery, and certainly a disappointment. However, we went all the way over to Primrose Hill from Kensington for a warm, fun, tasty Mediterranean dining experience and, when the mood for such an outing strikes again, we will most assuredly be going back.
