“Surprised by Fabulous Food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

The restaurant is not much to look at inside or outside. The food however, is another story. This was some of the best hole in the wall Indian food we had in London. We ordered the lamb chops and they were divine! We also ordered other food and it was all fantastic. So do not judge a restaurant by its interior or its exterior. The staff is attentive and patient, the food is excellent!

“Lamb chops to die for”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012 via mobile

This was my second visit and I'm delighted to rate this restaurant with 5 stars.

Don't go expecting the ritz though. It's is a curry lovers experience, with bare table tops and crammed full of diners. The first stop is the newsagent next door to stock up with cold Cobra beer or whatever your preferred drink is.

The restaurant is quite large and both times I've been busy, but it's size means you still seem to be seated immediately.

The food is simply fantastic. The lamb chop starters taste wonderful. Great spices but you can still taste the meat too.

Other starters such as the kebabs are also highly spiced and delicious.

Mains are great too accompanied by lovely breads.

Search this place out. If you love curry you will love this place. 5 star food. Good service. Cafe style decor and seating. Noisy bustling atmosphere.

“Good food but no atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

The food was delicious and cheap, but it's like you are eating in a school cafeteria. Wouldn't recommend for a date night but good for a cheap BYO dinner with friends

“Forget Brick Lane, this is the best curry/grillhouse in London”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

Truly fantastic gem of a restaurant. Interior plain and simple, the food speaks for itself. Remarkable quality and ingredients.

We had the mixed tandoori meats to start, with some of the famous lamb chops - incredible and finger licking good.

We had rice (one is enough to share - something I very rarely say), 2 curries (saag and a murkha), couple of naans which were delicious. Never had I have a more flavoursome and "clean" curry. So tasty.

The off license next door is great for the BYOB policy (no corkage).

Service was speedy, place was buzzing. Can't wait to return. 10/10
