we visited with a small crowd of regular curry / spicy food fans and were all very impressed by the quality of food and very friendly service ~ a real gem!

“Nice and spicy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Having returned from a holiday in Nepal we gave this a go to remind us of a great trip. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent. The chilli chicken and Momos ( whist Newari and Tibetian) were really well prepared. Give the Kathmandu beer a miss though, not a patch on Gorka!

“What a lovely surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Had to collect our daughter from the station and stumbled on this little treasure purely by chance. Very welcoming from the start, enticing aromas greet you with the restaurant being half full even at 7.15. Chose the set menu for 2 at £34 as am not familiar with Nepalese food and this seemed the easiest/best introduction to their cuisine. Masco Bara & Haku Choyala as starters, delicate spices - no heat and an aromatic mutton dish followed by Chicken Jeera,Dumba Curry, Aloo Bodi Tama, with nan and rice. Generous portions and again lots of spice flavours without the searing chilli effect. Have to admit the Almond Kulfi was a nice change of flavour, but wouldn'y have ordered it as sufficiently full by then. Atmosphere was relaxed and service attentive without being in your face. Would certainly revisit if in the area and would be more adventurous next time

Dessert:
Almond Kulfi

5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

I saw this on tripadvisor on my phone and was staying around the corner so thought I'd give it a go - what a great place. Great food, also do takeaway. Ive been back since, and will definitely go again. Was packed on a wednesday night and for good reason.
