Description: FFairuz restaurant in Londons Marylebone is named in tribute to Lebanon's most famous chanteuse and cultural icon - a sweet, unguarded idea that, if copied, could lead to Bob Dylan the chippie or Cliff Richard the burger bar. Fairuz the restaurant is one of London's more relaxed and intimate Lebanese restaurants, with comfortable, rustic dcor and a warm welcome. Fairuz still observes all the traditions: formal service, the instant appearance of olives and chilled salad upon arrival. But the dcor, cooking, and staff are all pleasantly flamboyant and at Fairuz there's a general bonhomie among the staff and clientele. The Lebanese cuisine bursts with Eastern Mediterranean flavours - old favourites like tabouleh, foul moukaaka, and moutabaal do new dance steps on your tongue. The raw meat starters are unmissable. Good vegetarian selection, of course, and there is complimentary fruit and baklava with coffee.

“Good Alive Affordable Lebanese”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

During our recent visit to London, we were craving for some Lebanese food, searched the web for locations and opinions and ended up for the first time at this small restaurant. We ordered their set menu for GBP 25 per person, which included 7 hot and cold mezes, and a grilled plate with lamb, chicken and minced lamb kebabs, fruits for desert and had a good Ksara Prieure bottle of red wine. Location is good, quarters maybe a bit cramped, service friendly and the food overall very good.

Fairuz is an unassuming quaint little gem of a restaurant on Blandford street. Great food, great service and smiles all round..

“Best Lebanese Food in London”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013 via mobile

Coming from a Lebanese girl living in the American capital of Lebanese people and food: Dearborn, Michigan. Look it up. Just as good as my mom's food!

“Halal food near oxford street”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

Its a lebanese food, halal but they serve alcohol as well. relatively small restaurant. with kitchen & toilet downstairs underground. service is good (we're the only customer at that particular time), food wise is average with large portion. if u're asian with small stomach capacity, 2 ppl just share one plate of main course meal (trust me). Not much of seasoning (little herbs & spices used), otherwise tender & juicy chicken/meat/lamb. served with sour sauce + pita bread + rice (lebanese style i presume).
main course meals are > 12 pound each (large portion + its in London). 20-30mins walk from oxford street. They take cash or debit card only (credit card with signatures not acceptable).

TIPS : make use of their toilet as outside toilet is pay per entry basis. If u think their service is poor, INSIST them to TAKE OFF the OPTIONAL 12.5% service charge. They let us pray upstairs (dine room) since there is no customers there, but ablution using the toilet sink downstairs. Alhamdulillah.

“Our favourite restaurant in London never disappoints.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

We always jam more than one Fairuz visit into our short annual trip to London. The staff welcomes us and our friends like family, and spoils us with their good food and hospitality. Even fussy eaters love this delicious Lebanese food.
