Description: This is one of the few places in London which consistently offers a combination of fine cuisine with top live music acts and dancing every night until 3am. The restaurant has recently been refurbished and serves modern French/Mediterranean style food. This is a great place to go if you want a lively atmosphere and entertainment in a West End location. What's cooking? King prawns with lobster sauce, Dover Street gravadlax, toasted goats cheese with Mediterranean roast vegetables, char grilled fillet steak, pot roasted duck with carrot puree, braised parsnips and potato sautee.

“All round great evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2014

We received a gift experience for the 5 course meal and visited the club on Friday 27th of June, we received a very friendly reception and were shown to our table for two in a great position to see the jazz trio. This may have been because we arrived early (7:30 pm) as there were many other tables which did not afford a view of the stage, however the tables that are well placed for the stage are also the ones which are removed later in the evening to allow for the dancing to take place. When the time came, we were offered a table behind the stage which was fine, others stayed at the bar.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and if we had one gripe it would be the cost of the drinks, which we thought were a little on the steep side, £7.00 for a small beer , the same for a short. It may be that we aren't used to London club prices though so you decide.
Anyway the music played on with the trio followed by the disco which had everyone up dancing, the band then picked up the evening until we left just before midnight, all in all a very enjoyable evening, and one we would recommend.

“Fab Food Fab People Fab Night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014 via mobile

Returning back to the Dover St Wine Bar for a third or fourth time in not so many years on a Wednesday eve with foreign business guests and their partners knowing that the evening clashed with the World Cup was a significant risk thinking the place might be dead with no atmosphere,

The place does need a bit of a makeover and don't be put off by the grotty entrance with gum filled rubber mats (boys it would cost f.all to sort this out and after all first impressions do count).

I was definitely wrong as once we were downstairs and after a few cocktails at the bar before sitting down and we were off !

Although it wasn't exactly heaving with a table for 13 I genuinely couldn't fault the food or the wine or service. It's simple wholesome and tasty.

The music from the early warm up trio was nice and the 8 piece band who were covering 70s soul jazz funk were simply divine. In between three sets - The DJ banged out the usual disco floor fillers as the place filled up a bit more toward midnight.

The music is most definitely Not too thump thumpy - it's for the young and the old that just like to get out and strut their funky stuff for the evening as my guests did.

We were on the fixed menu of £35 per head for 3 courses and all the plates were duly left totally clean by all - for all three courses. We were well looked after and I know this might be different on a Friday Sat or Sun so if your going It's worth booking your table to use as a base between the bar and the dance floor.

Don't go if you don't like a good knees up and reminiscing about where you were and who you were with when the great tunes are playing - and have a great time !

“Great venue, Food, Music, Staff all good.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2014

We received a Virgin Experience voucher, for two people, 5 course meal at the Dover Street Wine Bar, and we were not disappointed. From the phone call to use our voucher and make a reservation, to our arrival and departure, everything was perfect. Nice happy, smiling friendly staff, service was excellent, food was really well presesented and very tasty.
The early evening Jazz trio provided nice background music whilst dining, and the late night group started at 10.30 pm, and Soul Fiesta on our evening were very, very good. Great variety of music, and good musicans and singers.
We will definitely return, maybe on a weekend , so we can stay later..

“Great night out with fab food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2014

Booked the set menu offer which gave you 2 courses and your table for the evening. Staff were attentive but not all over you. Interesting clientele particularly when later band came on! Food was great and wine was reasonable. Jazz to start at 9pm was great and at just the right level, band were excellent too. Fantastic value for a great night out.

“Thank you Mum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2014

I had my first experience of this place and I loved it. It was a present from my mum and I have got to thank her for letting experience it. The food was great, though at one point I think the staff forgot about us!
Cheesecake is to die for!
