Description: Run by Abdel and Frances Boukraa he hailing from Djerba, Tunisia, she English born and bred Adams Caf is a thriving family affair which has grown over the years to become one of Shepherds Bushs most popular restaurants. A caf by day and a restaurant serving North African cuisine by night, Adams Caf is a bustling local hub, informal and authentic, decorated in mosaics and cheerful colours. It may serve the biggest and best breakfast on Askew Road but this is no greasy spoon. Visit in the evening and find yourself greeted by the spice infused aromas of Tunisia and Morocco. The menu consists simply of couscous dishes alongside grills and tagines, each based precisely on Abdels experience of home cooking. You really wont find a more authentic taste of North Africa in the capital.

“Very nice Moroccan food and atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

I went with some friends who go there a lot. The owners are extremely welcoming and polite, they made us feel at home instantly. The food is substantial, tasty, homy and filling without being too heavy. Their BYO policy is very convenient, as there is a great off licence nearly opposite. This restaurant is also reasonably priced. A good evening was had by all.

“Excellent meal and warm service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

Owned by a very charming Tunisian/English couple who have worked hard to put their son through law school (the restaurant bears his name) and can be proud of their efforts. A lovely restaurant on Askew Road which is slowly becoming a foodie destination for folks who live in Chiswick, Hammersmith and East Acton.

The menu is north African / middle eastern / Mediterranean in style and has a small but very good wine selection.....that it also allows you to BYO (wine only) is testament to their relaxed style.

My partner and I each had the £15.50 menu gourmet. I enjoyed some delicious pan-fried sardines with a coriander dip that followed some lovely bread and spicy dips that are always offered on the house. For the main course, I can't recommend enough the "Loup Grillé" which is marinated Sea bass, grilled whole, served with French fries, salad and tastira dip (spicy green pepper and egg). Delicious and very filling.

Overall, very well recommended particularly if you live in the area or visiting friends and want to enjoy a chilled dinner with good food, wine and conversation.

“What a great place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

We found this place via Yell.com, as we were looking for Moroccan food in Shepherds Bush. What a find! The cooks are Moroccan/Tunisian, the owners are Tunisian/English. The menu is great and the food is wonderful - we had chicken tagine; lamb tagine and chicken couscous. You can take your own wine (pay corkage) but we had a delicious Tunisian rose, lovely mint tea, coffees and a selection of baklava to finish. It is a lovely little place, and everyone is so welcoming and helpful - only tiny downside for me as a disabled person was toilets down some stairs, but I got a lot of help getting there and back so it wasn't a problem - you can't always have great food, wonderful atmosphere and loo on the same level! We would definitely go there again!

“Excellent value for money, fresh and exciting food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

I loved this place, the family run atmostphere, excellent value delicious food was a real winner. The tagines are just fab and everything tastes real - fresh and well balanced. Love the way you can take your own wine if you want but their own wine list is ok too. We have eaten there 6 times and it has been consistently good. I would reccomend it to anyone - its not fine dining - but who wants that every day. But it is the very best for eating out with friends or family - well cooked food for taste and enjoyment, relaxed and just perfect.

“A true gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

Went for my second visit to Adams Cafe recently, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The food is delicious, with beautiful spice combinations and wonderfully-cooked meat. It is probably the best value for money of any meal I've been out for in London - which is no mean feat given that I'm 25 and have lived here my entire life. We took my in-laws this weekend, and my father-in-law has been telling anyone who'll listen what a fantastic place it is. We're not local to Shepherd's Bush by any means, but was definitely worth the journey.
