“Great for special occasions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

We had asked for a window seat when booking as it was a special birthday lunch and were really pleased to be given one right next to the window with great views along the Thames and over the London skyline. The staff were really friendly from the moment we arrived and very attentive throughout our meal.
We chose from a 3 course “Mother’s Day” set menu at £55 from 4 starters, 4 mains and 4 puddings. I’m not sure if this was the usual rate for lunch or what other options are available.
The food, service and total experience was excellent and a nice finishing touch was a personalised birthday message on my pudding and a gift of a box of chocolates.
Not somewhere the average person could afford to go every week but great for a special occasion.
Price was top end of many people’s budgets - 3 courses, bottle of wine @ £22 and 2 coffees came to over £165 but I am sure it is possible to experience this uniquely positioned restaurant for under £100.
We may well return again in the future.

“Very special place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

My husband took me to the OXO Tower for a special meal yesterday evening. We had such a fantastic time. As expected the food was excellent and could not fault the service. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for us, making the experience that bit more special! We were hoping for a lovely spring evening to get the best out of the views over London, but unfortunately the weather was pretty miserable but it certainly didn't spoil our evening. I would not hesitate in recommending the OXO Tower, it is the perfect place for that special occasion, or just for a special treat. Worth every penny, you most definitely get what you pay for.

“Birthday lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

We started off drinking delicious cocktails and admiring the views, hoping we'd be seated at a table with as good views. No disappointment, we had a wonderful view! The food was really fabulous and the service equally as good. Lovely finishing touch when they took our photo and presented it to my husband in a folder with a picture of the OXO Tower and a happy birthday message inside.

“Good views, but the quality of food lets it down.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013 via mobile

A group of friends and I recently ate at the Oxo Tower restaurant during a lunchtime.

Although I would expect the lunchtime menu to differ from the dinner menu in terms of quality I was left somewhat disappointed following my experience at the Oxo Tower.

The service was excellent- very welcoming and attentive. The drinks, although overpriced, were lovely and well presented.

There is, however, room for improvement in terms of the food, and would be in no rush to return for this reason. Although well presented it lacked the wow factor in terms of taste and quality. The restaurant seems to make its money from the side orders/ drinks etc., which it is very keen to promote. The main courses themselves seem somewhat incomplete without these side orders. Although fresh the lunch options lack the creativity and originality that is so common in many London restaurants nowadays.

Although pleasant there are far nicer places to eat when in London.
