Recent visit to London this was our 1st choice. Sunday, hungry, it was buzzing, decor lovely. Table wasn't ready, so drink at bar. Seated, a while to take wine order. No problem, we were in no rush. Didn't feel rushed with the slots. Our first courses were meatballs, and the chicken liver on crostini (this is Pate, not livers). Meatballs were good, crostini were delicious. We followed with rib eye and sautéed potatoes, and crab ravioli a side of zucchini Frites. Disappointed, steak great, but a tad too much fat on. Sauté potatoes undercooked. Crab ravioli nice, but too much shell in it. Zucchini frites very salty, in fact everything was over-salted. Atmosphere whats good here, food comes secondary, service third. Probably wouldn't go back.

“Chic and trendy venue in W1.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

nice mix of a bar and restaurant, in a great central London location - trendy, hence the booking is a must, as the restaurant is always full. A modern italian menu, with some great specials (black/white truffle pastas are absolutely outstanding) but also few great classic (carpaccio, salads) and crab raviolis not to miss . Usual central London prices, setting you back some 75GBP per head for a nice and light dinner with some great italian wine. Nice atmosphere although a bit noisy.

“Great Food, Great Fun. Great place great place to take your wife.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

Great Food, Great Fun. Great place great place to take your wife.

A London Taxi driver suggested this place and we are so glad he did.

We had a great time. The crowd was stylish and well dressed but not unfriendly or aloof.

There were no tables so we ate at the bar. The Bartender, a fellow by the name of Maulo was very friendly, fun and definitely unique.

The food and wine was great and the service not rushed. Gret location near Piccadilly Circus.

“Superb Saturday night dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

My husband and I recently went here for dinner. We live outside of London now, so if we're bothering to catch the train in, it needs to be a great place. We were not at all disappointed with Cecconis - in fact, it was a truly fantastic evening! The food is relatively simple, but deliciously cooked, Italian. They also do wine by the carafe, which is good if there's just 2 of you and you want to have cocktails or whatever before. The atmosphere is also great - quite art deco decor, with a large oval bar in the middle of the restaurant where you can sit and enjoy drinks before or after your meal (reminded me of a restaurant in an Amercian city). Also, a great location, just at the top of the Burlington Arcade, and great for people watching! We went at 8.30 and it was just about getting busy. Would recommend and return.

“Average Italian”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

Taken by friends on a busy Saturday night we were disappointed. The service was poor, our friends who had been before said here weren't many staff and the manager walked about doing little. Chicken livers were a pâté on bits of bread and not livers on crostini as advertised. Cod in tomatoes & porcini were ok but not great. Prices were high for average food. There are much better Italians around for the same price or dozens providing similar fare at half the price! Avoid
