“Poor value - poor service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

Went here as a group of 4 for lunch. Signs outside advertised special deal of 2 courses for £10.95 each. Once inside we were offered a menu where the prices were more than this for the main course. When we inquired about the special price the surly waitress said she would come back with another menu, but this didn't happen. We ate anyway. We then got stung for a 12.5% supposedly "optional" service charge that had been included in the bill. For a bowl of pasta an expensive price to pay but better service and quality can be found in other establishments in this area. Not a place we would visit again.

“Not great!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013 via mobile

Ate here with my friend. We had high hopes and were famished. The starter to be fair was tasty and we had a nice window seat. My friend does not eat cheese so she purposefully ordered pasta dish without it. We ordered two completely different meals and when they arrived they were exactly the same can only assume they had one pot of sauce! It was not nice either how an Italian restaurant can not make a nice pasta say e beggars belief! Would not go there again typical London restaurant not intersted in quality just turn over!

“A nice, relaxed and contemporary Italian Restaraunt close to Covent Garden.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

I visited Pasta Brown this evening for a spot of dinner after exploring Covent Garden. I had a meal from their express menu - £10.95 for 2 courses. I had the Spaghetti with Olive Oil and chillies. It was quite nice. There was a nice balance of flavour, although the chillies made the dish quite hot!

I then had the chocolate cake for desert, which was delicious too.

The service is very good, and the waiting staff warmly greet you and make sure you are happy and are enjoying your time there.

The atmosphere is also very relaxed, and smooth Jazz is played in the background, making the atmosphere more comfortable.

If your looking for a good valued Italian with friendly, attentive staff and good food, I'd give Pasta Brown a try.

Service & food were fantastic. Great for lunch and menu and price were good value. Would recommend this for lunch but not for an evening meal.

“Rude!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

Rudest place I have ever seen. We were 4 friends there on a saturday afternoon. We sat and a waitress arrived and started to take orders. Two friends decided to have main courses and the rest would like to have starter. Guess what happened! The kind waitress told us that the restaurant was crowded - which was not! - and everybody should get at least a main course. In short, she told us to spend a certain amount of money in order to sit and dine.

When we said that it was a very rude behavior, she defended herself - of course, restaurant's policy - and said a plain sorry!

I highly recommend you go to one of the many restaurants around to have a decent service, at least. That's Covent Garden, you can not get bad food.
