“Well run, inviting and fascinating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

This place always has very well curated exhibitions which turn out to be interesting. The collection upstairs is fascinating and the mix of science, medicine and art is unusual and refreshing.
There is a decent coffee shop and a far-too-tempting bookshop.
And, unbelievably, entry is free!

“Isn't life strange?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

Went to the Wellcome Collection for the Outsider Art from Japan show. It was wonderful. Somehere I had read a really good review of the show "differences between attitudes to mental health" etc. The show was great, then ventured upstairs to the permanent collection. A bit like the Mutter museum in Philadelphia crossed with the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford. The weird and wonderful of the living and the dead. Beautifully curated and presented. Includes one of the six? accredited copies of the central panel of Bosch's "Garden of earthly pleasures", one of my all time favs. What an added delight to just stumble on it. And it's all free and dead easy to find. Buses drop you right outside from most places in London. Very generous of Mr Wellcome

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

Alongside a permanent collection focused on modern bio-medical developments, they have a changing exhibition on wied and varied subjects like death and beauty. Always surprising, always interesting. I visit the exhibitions several times a year, and the cafe several times a month.

“A wonderful and unexpected surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

I walked past this place everyday for months and never ventured inside. It is a pleasant surprise. Quirky and fascinating and cringe worthy all at the time same time. Not as crowed as some other London museums. Sometime there are exhibitions. Visit - you will not regret it.
