Stayed here for a night on a midweek work visit to Imperial College, London. Easy to find within walking distance of the tube at South Kensington but not near any of the main traffic routes which meant I had a good nights sleep with plenty of peace and quiet. Didn't have the breakfast as there are plenty of small faces etc nearby but the price was perfectly reasonable just didn't feel like a full english breakfast that early in the morning. The staff were friendly and attentive and thoroughly professional making the whole checking in/out process a breeze.
The room was clean with plenty of toiletries etc provided for 2 people even though it was just me. Disappointing that there was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and as is usual with the higher star rating hotels less is actually included - would have had to pay to use the Wifi in the room but mobile internet reception was fine so it wasn't needed. The bed was soft but comfortable once you throw off a few of the pillows/cushions and although the room is fairly small (hence the slightly odd photos - that was as far back as I could stand!) but it was perfectly in line with what you get elsewhere in london. The TV was old but I didn't use it and replacing it with a modern LCD wouldn't give you any extra space in the room so would be pointless unless it is broken.
Price wise I got a good deal paying only half the usual price for the night and based on that price this represented good value compared with the other offerings available, not sure I'd want to be paying the full price given the "extras" that you would get for free at a lower star rating hotel.
