“Swing and a miss...”

We used to live in this neighbourhood so on a return visit to London we were excited about the chance to stay near "home". We had a room on the top floor with many stairs... Room was large but barely furnished.... One towel and dirty dishes. So pay attention to the reviews... the place is not that nice!

Nicely updated studio apartment for a night. Close to Central London. Very reasonable. Housekeeping needs to pull up its socks a bit. But till midnight the reception (in an office opposite the apartment) will sort out any problem including extra linen, pillows etc.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back quieter.

In a quiet room on the second floor at the back of the property. Reasonably spacious, recently decorated and what you would expect in London for the price (book through their own web site for the best price).Good location. West Hampstead has plenty of places to eat and drink and good transport links with the Jubilee and Thameslink stations about a 10 minute walk. This is not hotel standard accommodation - it could be cleaner and there are no services - but if you are doing London for a few days on a budget it is just about acceptable - if you can guarantee a room at the back of the property!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms overlooking the main road - or take ear plugs!

I have just stayed 2 weeks in London. At over 100pbs per night, my first room 202 I had to wear ear plugs to be in the room, only single glazing and facing onto West End Lane. To move into and out of the bathroom was a manoeuvre. To call it an apartment is a joke. It was a small by hotel room standards. The hallway entry into the building smelt of cat piss or poo - disgusting, the whole time of my stay. I moved to room 201 after 1 week, it was a massive improvement. It had double glazing and a much bigger bathroom. This was just acceptable, but tainted by the bad experience in 202. Unfortunately I read the reviews, and my office booked me into the place without my knowledge. I am staying in London again in February for 2 weeks, and I will be looking at another property.

Room Tip: If you do choose to stay at 291, book 201 and NOT 202, and rooms at the back of the block are much q...

Bedroom and bathroom good...However,lounge area had an unmade double bed in it which took up most of the room and there were no comfortable chairs to sit in,only 2 dining chairs.Just one cerial bowl provided...Freezer section of fridge completely iced up and had obviously not been de-frosted for a very long time...Shower head disgusting....Generally very scruffy. This is a shame because with a little TLC this apartment could be made into the de-luxe accommodation as advertised by lastminute.com...Location very good, however noise level high being on a busy main road and right next to a pub which received noisy early morning deliveries.

Room Tip: Just don't bother with any of them

My friends recently visited us in west hampstead and wanted to stay local so I thought perhaps this would be ok despite the average reviews, however PLEASE consider all the reviews as they are pretty accurate about the lack of cleanliness and overpriced for what it is. Broken dirty furniture and terrible linen. Although I didn't stay here I saw it and my friends were utterly disappointed. Stay elsewhere!

We stayed here for one night in Jan and it was awful. Took us ages to find the place because you are looking for the suites not a lettings agency. When we then crossed the road and found that our room is behind a shady looking door next to a pub, that's not great, but when we then saw our 'suite' that's when things really started to disappoint. Dodgy looking electrics, patched skirting boards, chipped paintwork, cracked bathroom sink (with no plug), poor workmanship all over..... and I could go on. We were on a tight schedule with a show to get to and unfortunately I didn't have time to go and complain about this. The photos that we had looked at when booking had unfortunately given us a false impression. The whole thing was a big disappointment. Avoid.
