“Very good if you want an apartment out of the hustle and bustle”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

I booked this hotel as part of a British Air trip and was very happy with the one bedroom apartment. While you can not get into the apartment until after 3pm which makes it difficult for anyone traveling from North America as you have to be out and about most of the day, the place does have everything you need for a relaxed stay. The stay included continental breakfast which was filling, daily cleaning of the apartment, and a TV in the bedroom which I need to fall asleep with. The kitchen had a full oven and all other necessary apliances and the bathroom included large towels and heated towel rail. While there is a food store and some shops on site, I would walk down to the large shops on the main street a block away The only draw back if you are looking for easy commuting is that the Pimlico tub station (about a 3 block walk) is not on any tourist line and usually you have to change at Victoria station to get anywhere.

Room Tip: If you have to have the windows open chose a higher floor as there is a school across the street whe...

Couldnt fault this hotel, brilliant reception staff, excellent very large comfortable room, spotlessly clean. Excellent gym facilities. Good area to stay in with good dining options near by. Close to tube. Loved it.

The appartment was immaculate and so much more spacious than we had imagined, particularly the wonderful sized bathroom with it's excellent lighting and fantastic heated towel rail and of course the excellent sized fluffy bath towels. The bed was very comfortable and the quality of the bedding was much appreciated. I have stayed at several of London's top hotels over the years and the quality and value of the accommodation at Dolphin Square means they are unlikey to see my custom again. The staff were most welcoming and an excellent breakfast was served by a very personable and friendly team. Although a little way from the centre we were at the theatre in 20 minutes with a single tube change and the local shops in Pimlico were most handy, particularly the very well stocked Wine Rack near the station and it's most helpful manager. Didn't have time for the health club/spa but this looked to be wonderful as well.

Room Tip: Probably best to book well in advance although we secured a great deal 2 days beforehand.

I wanted to stay in Pimlico and knowing the area well I picked this hotel on the basis of price, location and convenience.

I stayed with a friend for one night in a one bedroom apartment overlooking the communal square. The room was nice and spacious with a small kitchen area and the gym/swimming pool were quiet and nice to use.

Pimlico is a quiet residential area just outside the centre of the city and within easy reach of the centre of town. The hotel's location is quiet and close to the tube station and near to a variety of restaurants.

There are a lot of poor hotels in Pimlico. Dolphin Hotel is a nice hotel at a price that doesn't break the bank. Other than the Premier Inn on Eccleston Square there is nowhere else in Pimlico/Victoria that I would think about staying.

We have just got back today, having spent 2 nights in an executive one room apartment. What a joy....the lounge was large with a Tv, a small compact kitchen with microwave and a welcome pack of fresh milk, tea & coffee was perfect, so we didn't have to rush out and get supplies.
The bedroom was large & spacious, with a large king bed, which had white Egyptians cotton bedding and lots of pillows. The bed was just right for me, firm and we both slept well.
On the complex is a restaurant, and a swimming pool & sauna, which we didn't use but it looked very clean & tidy.

There is car parking both on the road, and inside the complex.

The tube ( Pimlico) is about 400 meters away.

We would defiantly recommend this.

Room Tip: Ours was 416 didn't really look outside, but had plenty of light and space.

The location is really great - less than 5 minutes walk to the tube and the bus that has a stop right by Dolphin House can take you to tourist attractions. The kitchen area is small but sufficient for us. Some units have really nice and large bathrooms. The breakfast every morning was pleasant for us. Although sometimes we had to wait a little bit, but it was not bad at all.

What a great find. We spent 2 very comfortable nights staying the the Dolphin House. The room was well appointed, spacious and clean. There was a small kitchen area and large bathroom. The downstairs restaurant served a good breakfast and tasty evening meal. During the day the area was quiet and the gardens well kept and restful for reading the peppers before walking into the city for a day of exploring. I will make this my go- to place to stay in London
