3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012 via mobile

We Spent one night in this Hotel after a show at the Hammersmith Apolo. We were greeted by a lovely cheerful girl. Booking in was effortless. Our room was on the 5th floor which was quite a hike but for one night only it was manageable .....puff puff and oxygen require...lol. The room was adequately kitted out as was the bathroom. Paint work was a little scuffed and tired but nothing too unpleasant. There was a little noise during the night...sirens ect...and loud enough to wake us up. So very light sleepers wouldn't get a good nights rest if they were front street facing. Breakfast promised to be lovely by what we read on the menu. Sadly it did not live up to expectations. However credit where credit is due...once we pointed out that our breakfast was well below par we were offered new fresh breakfasts (which we declined due to time schedule). The manager who was horrified offered his sincere apology and then deemed it necessary to refund us for our un-edible food....so fair play. I'd go back so all in all not such a bad place.

My husband and I stayed In the hotel for one night. The pub it's self is lovely and staff very friendly & helpful (especially the lovely Rachel) Food it very nice, breakfast is plentiful. Rooms are nice, could do with a little attention to detail, but on the whole good. I would definitely recommend staying and we will do next time we visit London.

We wanted to stay close enough to the tubes for accessing The City, The Westfield for shopping but in an area where we could park easily and had a feelng of beng away from the crowds of central London. Hotel was perfect, large clean bedroom, good evening meal and superb breakfast. Incredible value fr such a spot on location.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, great location and comfortable beds. The breakfast in the morning was lovely and would definately recommend. The bar itself had a nice trendy feel to it, with un-matching tables and seats, which makes the place quirky.

The room was nice and the decor stylish. The bathroom seems to have had less attention in comparison, but no complaints a tall.

We will stay there again if in the area.

What you get when you stay at Brook Green Hotel is terrific value for money - good accommodation, good service and good food. The breakfasts are very good - at least as good as you'll get in many big name, 4 star hotel chains and better than some of them. My wife and i stayed for 2 nights, ate a couple of lunches, 1 evening meal as well as the 2 breakfasts at the hotel. (My wife's allergic to wheat and dairy and the hotel staff were very helpful in getting in some wheat free bread in for her breakfast and took the time to listen - it's amazing how many places don't - when she was ordering, to ensure they didn't serve her food she couldn't eat.) All the staff we came across were friendly and helpful. We were in room 15 at the top of the hotel so if you're not keen on walking upstairs make sure you get a room on a lower floor as there's no elevator. The room also faced Shepherds Bush Road and the noise from the traffic was slightly problematic but wasn't a major issue. The room itself was good in that it wasn't a standard hotel room and average in terms of comfort and decor. Had we been staying for a week or more we'd have needed more wardrobe space but it was fine for a couple of nights. It's a 10-minute walk to the tube, and faces a lovely public park area that has a playground for children as well as public tennis courts. We strolled around the perimeter of the park and discovered a pub called the Queens Head. If you're staying at Brook Green Hotel for a few nights, it may well make a nice change as a place to eat - there's a really nice, large area for alfresco dining at the back of the pub. If (with the Brook Green Hotel on your left) you walk 200-300 metres along Shepherd's Bush Road, there's another place called Cafe Rouge that (when walking past) we mistook as a place where you might sit for morning coffee - well it is, but it's also a restaurant where one can eat in an evening - but we discovered that fact too late to try it though I'd certainly try it next time we stay. And 'Yes' we would stay at Brook Green Hotel again.

Room Tip: Don't get a room on the top floor if you want to avoid 7 flights of stairs.

I also will not repeat what everyone else has said about the hotel - a real change from a boring Holiday Inn Express or similar. My room could have done with a little TLC, especially the bathroom but the anmbience and the food was great.

One complaint though; my wife and I had a really lovely candle lit dinner with a great wine, so much so that we altered plans to 'eat in' again the following night. When we got back to the hotel, one of the big TVs had been turned in towards the restaurant and the complete ambiance was ruined. We ate out! I have to add that to those footer fans amongst you, this would have been a bonus!
