“Super hotel tucked away off main street. Great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

This is a hotel tucked away off the main street and looks as if it has been squeezed into a small area from the outside. Once inside it is spacious and welcoming. We spent only one night there and would recommend this hotel for its location, comfort and above all cleanliness. Very comfortable bed and the room was spotless. This hotel room does not come cheap but it really is a super location.

I booked this hotel for my partner, myself and our 10 month old. We stayed on father's day weekend.

On arrival there were receptionists on every desk so the wait to check in was minimal, there was a good distance between each desk so there was privacy for each customer. We found that we had been upgraded to a suite on checking in which was fantastic especially as I had booked through lasminute.com's secret hotels so I had already paid a lot less than other guests. I knew what hotel I would get as I have cleverly cracked the lastminute.com's secret hotels code!

The rooms were spacious to say it's central london as some as very tiny, we had bathrobes, slippers, chocolates, lots of free toiletries and tea and coffee making condiments. The bed was very big and comfortable, the best part of the room was the bathroom which was truly 5 star! We didn't get a view of the Cathedral but still we were very pleased with out hotel.

I also liked how there were different sets of lifts so you could get into a lift going down to the spa with your robe and slippers without feeling embarrassed as you would using the main lift.

The spa was fabulous which is exactly what you need after a busy day in the capital, you have to try their Jacuzzi if you go!

A little piece of advice is to make sure you tell reception that you haven't consumed drinks from the minibar as its an electronic one where if you pick up an item you are then automatically charged for this item. Also there is hardly any network in the hotel but you do get free wifi which makes up for this but calls will be very difficult to make and receive.

On our departure the concierge went out of his way to find us a taxi to the train station, I feel the customer service was excellent.

All in all its a lovely hotel and would return, which is unlike us as we tend to book somewhere new every time.

We hosted an event in the Sky Bar at Grange St Pauls with views of city, great canapes and wine and courteous staff. Delighted with the venue. Can't fault the venue or team. Looking forward to next event.

I stayed here last month during a week long business trip to London. I travel quite a bit for business and so I prefer the professionally geared hotels where you don't have to worry about the baby screaming in the room next to yours as you try to sleep and adjust to the time difference. This hotel was perfect. Centrally located near the business districts. Walking distance, if you prefer to walk rather than take the tube, to Bank St, London Exchange, Blackfriars districts. Clean, spacious, well appointed rooms. Helpful staff. Good bar on premises. Very good restaurants near by.

On a recent theatre break to london, i managed to find this hotel for a fantastic price and booked it up. i had read previous reviews and looked at pictures to prepare myself but i literally went "wow" when i walked through the doors. Everything was spotless clean and the staff were very friendly, we were able to check in straight away which meant we could be out exploring london for the entire day and not worry about rushing back to check in. There was a man on the front door opening the doors for you and a bell boy to take cases up to the room, i had never stayed anywhere so swanky so i was very impressed. They didn't have the room i had originally ordered so they offered us a free upgrade instead to a private suite which had our own private entrance from the hotel, and another "wow" when i walked into the room and saw a massive kingsize bed, kitchenette and the most modern of bathrooms i have seen even with complimentary toiletries (which obviously i kept) and bathrobes. Some hotel beds are abit lumpy but this one was a memory foam and the best pillows i have slept on (i would have pinched one if i could of). The hotel even has a spa and treatments but unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy these facilities but maybe next time. The hotel was literally opposite St Pauls cathedral and about a 2 minute walk to the river and mansion house underground station making it very central for all of london amenities. In with the price was a continental breakfast which was very nice and started the day off ready to stuff our faces round london, they even have a holding room for your cases so you can leave them at the hotel then pick them back up at your convenience, i have highly recommended this hotel to people as i was so impressed and would not hesitate to come back and stay here on my next theatre break. if anything i was quite sad to leave, got used to living the life of luxury.

This was our second visit to this first class hotel. The staff, food and service were all wonderful and a credit to the Grange Hotels.

My husband had booked this hotel once again after such a lovely visit the previous year, enjoying wonderful surroundings, with a view over St Pauls and the first class service of the cosmopolitan staff. Nothing was too much and the price was excellent for the centre of London.

If you like a view over the cathedral you need to ask when making your reservation. However, we had a room which was on the adjoining property, which at first we were a little disappointed with but after our first night and having slept in much later than usual due to the quiet and dark room, we thought it was pure luxury.

The reservation was for a special occasions which was made more special by the hotel providing a complimentary glass of champagne and upgrading our room, whilst also including a 2, 30 min spa treatments within the package.

The hotel also goes that little further y allowing us to leave our luggage securely at the hotel and being able to use the spa facilities to shower and change before coming home, which finished off a lovely weekend.

Will certainly be back when visiting London again and recommend it to many of my friends and family

Room Tip: This depends on what your wanting. A view of the cathedral or a lovely peaceful room, just tell the...
