“good clean basic accommodation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

Just returned from long weekend. Good clean comfortable room 501. Could see the London eye from window. Conveniently situated in nice area. Easily accessible from Euston by tube or short bus ride. Friendly staff. Miss the English breakfast they used to do but plenty of places to eat within vicinity of hotel.Small but adequate bath with shower over. Will definitely stay here again. Reception staff very friendly.

Room Tip: 501 had Decent distant views.

I was totally astonished to find the shower cubicle in this room was so SO SO SO SO SMALL I actually couldn't stand in it ... ....
To shower I had to stand with one foot outside of the unit ....shower one half of my body then swap onto the other foot ....and shower the "half"of me ....totally ridiculous and shambolic ...The reception staff informed me there was nothing they could do and to quote the receptionist "I have tried to fit into that show unit and cannot" .???... The room itself was clean and the staff were actually very nice ....I was informed I would receive a voucher by way of compensation .? this had to be issued from head office ..??...Nothing so far ....Wifi within the bedroom was intermittent and also useless ...however worked perfect in the corridor outside of the room ..how convenient ????OVERALL a very very poor show expecting anyone to stay in a room like this with inadequate (useless) facilities ... ...

Room Tip: Do not accept room 601 under any circumstances

This was a good value stay, the room was very clean and tidy. I was very comfortable and happy with my stay. The hotel is well located, the receptionist was very thoughtful and helpful I would be very happy to stay there again.

Travelling with a friend I booked single beds in a double room. Something I have done many times before.
When we arrived on Sunday the receptionist explained that since the refurbishment of the Hotel all the double rooms now had double beds. There are single rooms, for future reference, but obviously they will cost proportionally more.
My friend and I were nonplussed but could not see any way out of this dilemma.
Fear not. The very efficient, kind and helpful receptionist (called Aram I believe) said leave it with me and I will see what I can do. He then got in touch with his manager and as the hotel was not fully booked arranged for us to have a double room each. I therefore would not dream of complaining about any aspect of our stay.
That young man should be applauded for using his initiative and helping the good name of his company.
Another thing to note. The Breakfast area is at present defunct. We had a very nice breafast at the Sports Bar within the Station complex. There are many eateries to choose from there.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room if a little noise bothers you.

The hotel is clean and good enough for resting and taking a shower although the tiny single room I was in felt a bit crammed.
The shower was not high enough for me to stand under it and I do not consider mysef a giant (abou 1.80 m tall).
Rooms soundproofing seemed good.
Some details that I found quite annoying are the free wi-fi only for 30 minutes every 24 hours and only about 12-15 TV and radio channels available (not even all the free to air UK TV channels let alone any international one). Most of the more basic hotels and hostels fare better on these latter aspects.

as two couples of friends we went to London from Friday to Monday, we chose the Travelodge at Marylebone as it is next to the station. the hotel is a leisurely 15 min walk from oxford street (hyde park end) ideal for shopping & the winter wonderland. the hotel is clean, with very friendly staff. across the road from the station is a nice little café called cappucino's where we had breakfast & if you turn left & left again as you come out of the hotel there's a Tesco express.

We stayed at this Travelodge after reviewing on Tripadviser. It was a pleasant stay as the hotel is located conveniently just by Marylabone station. The room was clean and what we expected. It was quiet at night with very little traffic noise, so we were able to sleep well. I would stay at this hotel again and the staff were pleasant.
